Good points. Dropped passes and bad passes are easy to see. What's harder to see is how many times did PT hold onto the ball too long? Did he ever " throw a receiver open,,"?. Did he make the correct read more times than not. Also, does he possess the necessary talent to overcome any of those mistakes and still make a play. That's where PT falls short IMO

Last year Freeze had to take whoever he could get because of the circumstances. I just look forward to the day that we have stacked high school classes and can cherry pick the portal. Like Bama, GA, OH St etc. I think we will get there in a couple yrs.

My point is fairly simple. We go after the Rolls-Royce of high school players. Coleman, Thompson. Bolden etc. There is plenty of players in the portal who have proven they can play high level P5 ball. Let's go after them. Instead of unproven guys like the one from Bucknell or Shorter College. Sure u can maybe find a diamond in the rough. But if u have seen them play against P5 competition week in and out the chances of striking out are greatly reduced

Better competition . I didn't follow him at Mich St. I'm not saying we had world beaters at WR. But I don't see how anyone thinks PT will lead us to more than 7 wins. What other school in the SEC would PT start at?

I just don't get it. Hugh goes toe to toe against the big boys for high school recruits. Why not the portal.... It's still early maybe he can land some big time transfers
