But, I will be shocked if PT isn't the starter next yr, if Freeze doest bring in another QB. Then good luck to holding onto Cam and Perry

My stance is this. I worry that HB and WW won't be ready to take over the team next yr. Long term? Yes. I would prefer they get an upgrade to PT for 1 yr to bridge that gap. That's no more of a gamble than relying on a True Fresh and another guy that's taken 9 snaps to run the show.

I gave u 3 or 4 transfers. I'm not gonna argue back and forth. If Hugh wants to go the youth movement, cool. Just get ready for alot of growing pains. I agree that it's best to develop what we have. That doesn't mean HB or WW will be ready next yr. Development takes time. As to who is out there in the portal. The question is not who was or is in the portal. There was a bunch in the portal that's an upgrade to the room. AU don't wanna pay up so they didn't get one.

Well, not many now. I think Kj Jefferson would have been an upgrade to PT. Legit chance depends on how much we spend. We seem to want to spend money on other areas. Cam Ward would have been an upgrade. We just need a stop gap better than Thorne for 1 year. After what I saw from Thorne this yr, that shouldn't be too hard to get. Like I said, I'm good if the QB is WW or HB. But if PT is on the roster, it will be him

Only thing I've criticized on his portal recruiting this yr is that he doesn't seem to want to upgrade the QB room. If that's being fickle. Guilty as charged

I I think Hank has alot of potential. He may be the best QB on the roster. The sample size is small. We gotta be realistic. If we are pinning our hopes next year on a Freshman QB who has thrown 9 passes. We gone be in for a long year. You need Trevor Lawrence type ability to be successful in that scenario.

So with the announcement that Salter WAS NOT in AU Friday. I'm wondering if Freezes is even looking for portal QB..
