  1. All these comments about what the offense could've done with 2 minutes left. The defense could've just stopped them from going down the field & scoring.
  2. Admittedly, I do not know Harsin's tendencies on offense. The headline itself feels Dejavu and very reminiscent of times past and when I'd see it I'd puke up my coffee.
  3. When Gus had a solid oline with seasoned players who knew their job and executed it, he was able to take advantage of a defense & he could run his O much better in the early years. Gus used to have his offense hurry up to the line, do the meercat & then sub his players once he read the defense and then he'd call the play while the opponents defense stood on the field with labored breathing. When the rules changed and defenses were allowed to sub when the offense subbed, Gus' scheme didn't to produce like it once did because the element of surprise was gone and he could no longer put the defense in a stalemate. Defenses caught up and they adjusted by recruiting leaner, faster defensive players to go up against those fast-spread offenses. Gus was too stubborn to evolve his style and he could never trust his OC's. Some teams in this conference have perfected the use of the HUNH/fast pace offense and they sprinkle in throughout the game at opportune times and are able to steadily move down the field. The coaches that are able to evolve and adapt to the changing times seem to be more successful than the one's that don't.
  4. THIS feels soooo Dejavu, it's almost nauseating. 🤢
  5. Auburn has run through a ton of OC's the last 15 yrs or so & I will never allow myself to get my hopes up. The proofs in the pudding!

    Deion

That's more than Deion's salary. lol
  7. "IF" Pat went to our new HC with his list of concerns and did it on multiple occasions this season, it's no wonder Bo went to the portal. Valid concerns or not I just don't see what the Nix's felt was so important that they went to BH on multiple occasions? It's unheard of to be a 3 yr starter at Auburn as a legacy player, and then choose to transfer elsewhere as a graduate. Bo grew up an Auburn fan, his dad played and started at Auburn and both left it all on the field for Auburn. This was Pat & Bo's dream for the kid's whole life. Than he transfers?
  8. Wait a minute, Is this true? What exactly did Pat think could be accomplished by pressing the new HC in his first year at AU? And on "multiple" occasions Pat gave BCH a list of "concerns"??? WTH was Pat thinking doing something like that? I do agree with you that this was not exclusively Bo's decision. IF Pat & Bo went to CBH on multiple occasions this season, then it's likely CBH helped Bo make the decision to move on.
  9. It's time the Auburn Administration & it's supporters decide to step up the game and go toe to toe with our rivals in spending.
  10. Recognized at some point down the road, sure. Loitering in the building more, NO. Former coaches don't need to be visible when a new staff's trying to do their jobs. i.e. Steve Spurrier down the hall from Jim McElwain at UF.
  11. With all the high profile P5 jobs available this year not one of them courted Deion. Bluebloods Notre Dame, USCw, Miami, Oklahoma then SEC powers >> LSU & Florida & P5's Oregon, VaTech, Washington?
  12. Urban is a slime ball aka Bobby Petrino.
  13. I agree, but Auburn didn't have competent offensive coaching a the time. MW made the absolute best decision for his football future, I believe he will do well in the pro's.
  14. Which team would be the recruiting champion today? Which would be the recruiting champion in February?
  15. I'm just glad Willis made his choice to move on and received top notch coaching & training from Freeze, resulting in an exceptional pre-draft grade. Some big time schools like Auburn aren't ideal to bring out the best in an athlete, a place like Liberty with a coach like Freeze seems to be exactly what MW needed.
  16. This is why I was drawn to this site.
  17. It could be both. He was a 5* QB + an Auburn Legacy that painted a great story for Auburn during a time when we needed the positive attention. He was pre-ordained to be the staring QB from the moment he stepped on campus, and the media jumped on it. Whether Gus thought he was the best prospect or not I think it was pretty obvious the decision was made. For whatever reasons the kid just never lived up to all the hype and couldn't consistently perform at an SEC level in his 3 yrs.
  18. I'm new here, so I'm oblivious to most things on this board. 😎
  19. He wouldn't have been developed or ever placed in a position to be as successful had he stayed at AU.
  20. Because they obviously didn't heed your directive until you had to posted it for the second time.
  21. I thought you just gave a directive for folks to take their back & forth to pm's?
  22. I'm 100% in agreement with CBH as long as he gave his own coaching staff the same speech, because coaches dang sure didn't coach good enough this year.
  23. Tank was our first 1,000 yrd rusher we've had in years too!
  24. IIRC the deadline to enter the portal is mid-May. It gives players time to see where they stand on the roster after spring training and it allows them to complete the semester.
