  1. Passthebiscuits has been giving hints about the turmoil for a while and some things are just now being revealed.
  2. Especially when the HC kept flip flopping back & forth between "hands-on" to "hands-off and CEO" to "hands-on because offense if in my blood" to "hands-off and my OC will be unfettered" to "I'M CALLING THE OFFENSE!" to out the door with +$20million.
  3. Rumor has it someone named WDE is dropping nuggets on the Eagle's Nest forum and it explains a ton about the current climate under Harsin.
  4. Literally in the 2020 season both Friend and Brumbough we coaching the lines at Tennessee.
  5. Cloudy skies in my opinion because Auburn is literally Tennessee on both lines. 🤢
  6. Who reported this part? Who would know whether or not Mason has been in the complex working/recruiting or not after the bowl game? Edit: Never mind, I now see RunInRed's post above. It's still weird that "he hasn't been seen much since before the bowl game". What the hell kind of place does Harsin run where his coordinators don't show up for work for over a month?
  7. aTm - Jimbo is showing 5*s the MONEY. Go get paid young men.
  8. The 25 cap is waived so that teams can allow up to 7 transfers, the 85 is a hard cap. Which is utterly ridiculous on the part of the ncaa.
  9. Fans & alum have no choice but to sit back and wait to see the results. It doesn't mean we have to like what we see.
  10. We aren't smarter and it's been proven by how much $$ has been forked out to pay coaches to NOT coach here. For whatever reason it seems that Auburn has been ok taking the backseat approach in the college football arms race and maybe doing the same with this new fangled NIL.
  11. How do You know I haven't? Are you seriously able to view those last 5 games and see them any other way than an explosive load of diarrhea?
  12. Just looking around the CFB landscape at the highest performing college Qb's, they all seem to have good character these days. I don't see many Jamies Winston, Johnny "JFF" Manziel or even Baker Mayfield type guys.
  13. Now that's a stinky scenario any way you look at it.
  14. He was a real possibility in who's mind? Possible enough that he'd take the time to even visit campus?
  15. My issue is obviously that I don't understand the current law, or amended the version. I'm curious to know if the current law has affected Bruce & his recruiting?
  16. I see what you're seeing with this group. The QB competition will be monumental this spring.
  17. Somehow this law didn't impede us from giving Tank enough $$ to stay and it didn't stop us from offering Caleb Williams an NIL deal commiserate with other big time programs bidding for his services. 😒 If the law needs to be amended, then amend it. But this law isn't preventing Alabama schools from diving deep into the NIL waters as they want to dive and it sure hasn't prevented Auburn from bringing in any recruit they've tried to sign.
  18. Agreed, especially when Tank got what he wanted and if rumors are true Caleb Williams AU deal was just as lucrative for him as any other program was offering.
  19. Well, we know that law dang sure didn't impede one program in this State. Why is it an obstacle for program and not the other? OR why wasn't it an impediment for the Tank & Caleb Williams deals?
  20. Yeah, I didn't get much from the article as it relates to the old law & the new law. Bottom line Alabama needs to have wide open laws so that they can operate unrestricted. Whatever Texas has is what Alabama should have.
  21. I hadn't heard that. I'd be interested to know what specific impediments this State has compared to Georgia/Florida/Louisiana/Texas, etc.
  22. I know very little about Friend. Are Auburn supporters not willing to pay NIL in tandem with other big time programs, especially on an area of great need like offensive line?
  23. Do you think it has been a failure? 1 out of 5 years AU signed an adequate number of high school olinemen. Compare that to other SEC programs, and it does indeed look like a failure especially when we also see the '22 class tanking.
  24. Well, this crew won't last if they don't seriously step up their oline recruiting next year. Next year is where the rubber meets the road so to speak, get it done or get coaches that will.
