  1. I agree, it would take way too long to build an SEC competitor to a level equivalent to the top teams in this conference and CBH won't be given that much time. The last regime made annual promises and were allowed entirely too much time to build a top SEC team. Sadly because the last staff took way too long before they were purged, this new staff will be on a short leash.
  2. That's true! It makes me nauseous to think back on that old offensive scheme and still I think a lot of our issues bringing in top WR studs is lingering from the past. When other programs utilize multiple WR's and develop them to 1st round draft picks in this conference, why can't we do the same? Here's to better days ahead. WDE
  3. It's important Auburn fight off the out of state schools that are pursuing these guys. Clemson, uga, aTm, uf, olemiss, etc. are all heavily recruiting the Alabama talent with aTm backing their offers with big $$ nil guarantees. 😒
  4. I'm glad you posted this because I've seen SI claim for over a week that the vote was split 7-7 on which format they'd use (1/7 or3/6). It'll be interesting to get a final verdict tomorrow. Then folks can use up the next 3 months complaining, whining and some celebrating where the SEC stands.
  5. Hopefully ZC didn't hit his ceiling with Jimbo. 🤞
  6. I also find it interesting that when Prez Roberts took over a couple of weeks ago one of our board insiders (WDE) posted that Roberts intends to clean house and get rid of the dead weight in the AD. I questioned that comment as I was under the impression that AD Greene had already culled a good number of AD staff years ago, so how was the dead weight allowed to accumulate under Greene's watch, etc.
  7. When did I say the concerns weren't valid? I am 100% willing to tell an Auburn employee to shut their mouth and let the university take care of internal issues and allegations through their investigation without running to an Auburn beat writer, a message board administrator/poster or a media idiot to leak the information. I am 100% willing to put someone in the trash bin when they create an unsubstantiated salacious rumor about the coach & his assistant in order add fuel to an already volatile situation just because they want the coach terminated.
  8. Do you think those hard working, loyal people who spread rumors in an effort to get CBH fired 3 months ago didn't affect recruiting? They chose to strategically leak news of the investigation along with the salacious rumors immediately after NSD. Those people (person) should be unemployed now IMO. It resulted in a black eye on Auburn and has most definitely been used to recruit against a coaching staff who was already struggling trying to bring in enough talent to compete in this conference.
  9. JMHO Those people need to be terminated immediately as well as anyone connected to the AD that continues to "leak" inner office information to AU beat writers, journalist, reporters, bloggers, and media or message board administrators. The information that comes from "my sources tell me" and "people in the AD" and "insiders" have damaged Auburn's reputation for many years and it needs to stop. We've been told that not one Auburn booster or BOT were part of that fiasco in February. That means it was carried out by careless, self centered malcontents that do not have best interests in mind & shouldn't be draining the payroll while they work against this coaching staff.
  10. The portal is where NIL strength is paramount. We've seen many players navigate the NIL waters before they jump to the portal and then immediately land at programs where it's rumored they were paid +$1M at their new school. Some have claimed tampering and it's very possible. But there are ways to work around legitimate "tampering" and make contact with a star player on another team, let him know he has lucrative options elsewhere without a coaching staff having to make contact.
  11. Mikey is not a turd as in a uat turd fan, he's 100% Auburn. But he's been acting like an old fart. The non-stop regurgitation of last season's record + comparing Harsin to Beamer/Heupel's 1st yrs + the long list of negative's on recruiting + every negative talking point he can muster for Harsin's first 17 mos on the job. It all gets thrown up on the carpet like a cat puking up a fur ball. His stuff has to be pasted somewhere, it's too damn much work to type out the same stuff in every thread.
  12. Is there a breakdown somewhere for AU athletes with contracts & $$ amounts for NIL?
  13. I'm interested to see what Napier can do in the swamp. IMO it's going to take a winning season to get that extra year, and hopefully top recruits will see we're moving in a positive direction AND hopefully NIL Auburn will be in competitive shape as well.
  14. It's been stated that Auburn had Mario Christobal in the bag and he'd already selected his staff, then the tables turned. A solid candidate with HC experience, a good age and knew the SEC layout. I was happy to see we'd pursued a guy like that.
  15. I can't bring myself to get behind Hugh Freeze at Auburn. I just don't like the way he left the Ole Miss program or the personal baggage he brings.
  16. I don't care to see the IB or DSOR eliminated.
  17. The SEC (Greg Sankey heads the NCAA Transition Committee), ACC, B12 ( commissioner co-heads the committee with Sankey), the PAC12 (just visited DC with Sankey to lobby Congress on NIL) and B10 ALL make up the governing body of the NCAA. Those conference commissioners have been tasked with re-writing the NCAA rule book by August 1st, that's why the Transition Committee was formed months ago. So what do you mean that those 5 will leave the NCAA when everyone of them ARE the NCAA?
  18. Agreed, this is Auburn Football for crying out loud! If CBH turns in back to back losing seasons he shouldn't make it to Christmas. IF the season starts tanking, he can kiss any decent recruiting class goodbye. You can't sell your program or your vision to recruits if it doesn't translate to W's.
  19. Is NIL Auburn currently paying our QB's well right now? Top prospects especially the skill players want have to know what active players are getting through NIL & what collectives are willing to pay athletes. If our current roster is already bringing in NIL $$ equal to the programs we compete against in our region, then our current players can help recruit by relaying that message to visiting prospects. Let those 5*'s know THIS is the place to play and get paid very well while they're here.
  20. Ehh, this is a hypocrite look for Saban but he's highlighting a serious issue that affects every program with these NIL bidding wars. Jimbo looks like a sweat hog in these emergency pressers to punch back at what Saban said. Then the 2 part series he did yesterday is hilarious as he places the blame on media members getting their news from social media rather than trying to get the actual facts about this.
  21. Just a guess. They could video tape individual player workouts in the gym and on the field. i.e. 7 on 7 skill player sessions going through the playbook, QB/WR/TE throwing catching sessions, etc. Coaches watch film and critique each player and address issues as needed. ??
  22. Fisher is a piece of crap, and so is the hypocrite Saban. College football is a trashy business and basketball is even worse. Both of those those asses lack character. Let them spar amongst themselves and both bring their programs crumbling down.
  23. True and it just got kicked up a few notches with what is rumored aTm paid for their '22 class being in the $30M ballpark. Folks are throwing out astronomical amounts of $$ to get top players AND enormous $$ to HC's & their staff.
  24. That place an insane asylum with zero moderation. Also where an LSU poster started 99.99% of the Cam Newton rumors in a thread he called ATPB. It's no wonder the salacious rumors about Harsin started there, disgusting place.
