  1. Beat writers and todd tore this place up after AU announced Harsin would be retained. There was a massive effort to get positivity out to the public and it was like night 'n day difference in the quantity of recruiting info released by the writers. Writers were busy slapping lipstick on that pig last spring.
  2. All I'm trying to say is that players take it personally when they don't perform in certain areas of their sport. There's no way AU players don't have access to facilities either on campus or off to hone their skills, perhaps it's more of a time management issue and not a facility issue? There are +300 basketball teams, many are somehow able to shoot FT's at a much higher % than our players did this season with less elaborate facilities.
  3. IF AU's gym is occupied what's wrong with one of the AU rec centers, a local school, church gym, an outdoor court. Many programs shoot FT's very well and have nowhere close to our grand facilities. IMHO, FT shooting is a personal effort.
  4. At some point a player has to take his piss poor FT shooting personally and he has to make a choice to put in the time and effort to improve on his own. Coaches don't have the time to waste limited and valuable practice time having players working on FT's, the player should have the motivation & initiative to do that on his own. Frankly, if I were on a SEC scholly + a stipend + a handsome NIL package, I'd be embarrassed as hell if I sucked and couldn't do my part from the charity line.
  5. Draining 3's by several players now and "Killa Dilla Brandon Milla" hasn't scored a single point, lol. Mark Sears is showing out. 😪
  6. I've noticed over the years that refs in the tourney are much more conservative with their whistles than in regular season play. Hope for the best tonight. WDE!
  7. The atmosphere is good, I'm not a fan of fried food but I guess it's a must to soak up the alcohol after a day on the lake.
  8. YUP! What they're doing over there will make AU stronger, we now have to seriously Up our game. I think a few SEC teams are making a concerted effort to get better, Ole Miss hiring Chris Beard was a homerun hire. Vandy and Mizzou both got better with their recent hires.
  9. Well hell, Auburn fans can root against the bammers just as well as they can root against us. Right?
  10. 8 teams make the tourney (IMO Vandy deserved a spot) and the SEC is down this year folks.
  11. It's what they do. Character, morals or even an inclination of propriety is completely absent in that organization. They are bred to give the world the finger.
  12. I don't see UGA getting AU/UF/UA ~ I think they get AU/UF/UT I don't see UA getting AU/UT/UGA ~ I think they get AU/UT/LSU
  13. Well, we now know Auburn has hit rock bottom. When our fan base no longer enjoys seeing our Tigers go up against our main rivals AND we have to watch the team literally struggle with the likes of freaking MSU/SoCarolina, etc.
  14. BINGO! It's almost like people don't understand how this new system works. Auburn's getting uga/uat/??? + 6 more SEC games every year, some of which won't be the caliber of bottom dwellers Mizz/Vandy/Arky/SoCarl/Miss schools.
  15. YEP! In the new system even if 2 teams aren't permanent opponents, they still play every other year. So IF we get UGA/UAT/Vandy as our permanent, that doesn't mean we get to avoid LSU/aTm/UF/Okl/Texas/Tennessee or our recent nemesis South Carolina.
  16. Even if teams aren't permanent opponents, they still play every other year and that's what the SEC wants. They don't want 12 yrs to elapse and UGA hasn't been to College Station. They will use permanent opponents to protect the longest-standing games. And there will now be plenty of marketable matchups for TV ratings as viewers will get every single one over the span of 2 yrs. So it could easily end up that we get UGA/UAT/Vandy as our 3 perms and still have to play UF/LSU/Texas, etc in the same season as well.
  17. I don't think it'll matter all that much who we get paired with. If teams aren't permanent opponents, they still get to play every other year. They will use permanent opponents to preserve the longest standing games. And they have to lock-in certain gams for TV ratings, after that there will be plenty of marketable matchups and they'll get every single one over the span of 2 yrs.
  18. Cole, you are the only reason I've paid attention to Mark Sears this season. I'd have just assumed Oats snagged another jewel like he did with Brandon Miller this year and chalk it up his dumb luck. The kid is good and every time flip by to see them play it pisses me off that AU didn't feel the need to pursue him.
  19. lol 12 months ago we heard the Clesi jokes, I suppose Freeze's WAR shirt is harmless comparably.
  20. Auburn w/Freeze as HC will be the ongoing butt of jokes and juvenile fabrications, may as well get used to it.
  21. Gus owe's him part that that +$20MM buyout though, because Steele saved Gus' arse many many times and salvaged crappy seasons with his defense.
  22. Yep, and average will no longer cut it in this conference.
