  1. I find that a little surprising but it is all subjective. I watch some of his post game pressers and i get the impression he is very personable and much more so than what i see when i watch nick saban speak but thats just my opinion. On a personal level i dont like him, i think he is a slick talking tongue devil but i can definitely see him winning people over in their living rooms
  2. I actually dont believe he had issues directly w harsin.. Harsin was smart enough to try and bring the Nix clan in to the fold. If you watched the georgia state presser he was crushed about pulling Nix, he did NOT want to do that and then started Nix the next week @ LSU. My conspiracy is that certain power brokers talked to Patrick Nix and clued him in to the impending offseason fireworks and Pat made the call to signal to Bo that he may need to bounce plus half the fan base hated Bo.
  3. Is this another one of those "he from tha north" situations?
  4. Jimbo is an interesting character, on one hand he is very personable, likeable and can draw you in w his slick fast speech but is also very detested by outside fanbases. I still maintain that he is a good playcaller but that his offense is really predicated on having a big time tightend and i havent seen a/m w that since Jalen Wydermyer left for the pros.
  5. No. I dont like the guy and dont think he is a good ceo coach. i actually dont think he is a bad play caller except for that final play call at tuscaloosa, that was laughable. Its the en vogue thing to say "he is a good recruiter and coach but terrible play caller". Frankly he just needs a qb and a big time tight end and he is back in business, his team put up more yards than south carolina last night. He seems to have issues w player development but he could get things rolling w a better qb than King and a good tight end. Defensively theyve had a lot of issues too.
  6. i could see that being the case for sure
  7. His archaic ways? I mean he brought in tony franklin who (i hate franklin) was the absolute opposite of archaism, his offense was considered cutting edge. So i mean you can say whatever about tuburville but he definitely tried to mix things up.
  8. nebraska absolutely could be competitive again. Whats the difference between, utah or oklahoma or oklahoma state and nebraska? This isnt north or south dakota, montana or new hampshire. Nebraska, Auburn, Wisconsin are all similar programs tbh w auburn having greater access to talent but all three are not that different in ebbs and flows of competiveness. Hell kansas is competitive now and would probably beat auburn
  9. What's silly about it? He has extracted most of the juice that can be squeezed from ole miss. The sec west is not a fun league to coach in.
  10. We basically beat the hell out fsu that game and Marshall hit ricardo louis, he flat out dropped the ball -- a sure fire touchdown and parkeys missed fg hurt. If only mason had gone down on the 1yard line instead of scoring at the end and by god we almost pulled off that final miracle play. I was at both championbships 2010 and Pasadena and pasedena was phenomenal, just magical atmosphere.. I will never ever forget it
  11. I like it, i think that could be an interesting job for him
  12. And the offensive linemen down field Thanks Saban
  13. Tre Mason 46 carries for 304 yards marshall 16 carries for 100+ Gosh that is such a bad a** statline
  14. I would assert that no coach in the ncaa would have been able to come in and meet auburn fans increasingly unrealistic expectations given the rise of the saban dynasty and others at rival schools but nonetheless we get to be humbled and have a reset regarding what we can realistically acheive on a year by year basis.
  15. Because no one wants to come play for coach harsin so he is hamstrung with the talent he has at his disposal? I dont even think schmedding is a primary problem. The offense is anemic because the oline sucks and we have no wr's and coach testesterone isnt going to be able to land the necessary talent to get us back to relevancy anytime soon.
  16. The guys a couple hours away from auburn at a podunk (no disrespect jsu) school that has been awful for years sports wise, resources wise and is having documentaries made about him as he dominates and elevates the school, city, team. He is huge and would immidiately threaten all if he came (which he wont) but he would be a nightmare to recruit against and subsquently coach against.
  17. I think missing out on Justyn Ross really hurt and also Reuben Foster but definitely Pickens would have been massive for us
  18. Major eye roll from me.. Sure, sure Bottom line is -- had the right coach been lined up to replace Malzahn then we could have been rolling year 1 right of the gate and by rolling i mean completely relevant w a formidable squad that just needed some oline transfers/recruits and a legit wr.
  19. I dont think its THAT unrealistic but i do think it is unfortunate timing and that it "feels" like he has more to do w this whole swac stuff. We gotta try tho, we gotta try. Sidenote-- harsin tweeting deion is definetely trolling on some weird twisted level
  20. Chizik was only good because of Malzahn and Newton. Heupel is entirely different. fine w bookmarking but ive seen enough already for me
  21. I agree w everything except Kelly at LSU.. He is so cringe and that offense of his is lame. I think he trends toward crash and burn.. I wouldnt sleep on Jimbo, hate the guy but if he ever gets a qb they could begin to live up to their recruiting potential sooner than LSU Imo
  22. How sad, he was such an asset here but I understand. Oh well. Glad he made a few contributions recently enough here.
