  1. Naw he is not a hero, as it stands he is just cryptic-ally tweeting shade like a little ----- while we all have to sit back and try pretend everything is all good while other programs are crushing it in the portal and we hold on hoping we can at least score that 4 star Khurtis perry for the d line while making excuses about Bo and his dad. Sorry not sorry. No O.c. Still, and are getting decimated in the portal while simultaneously not bringing anyone in. Color me beyond concerned.
  2. So far the ramping up of the nil has centered around the pimping and fleecing out of the auburn fan base for autographs, customized social media shout outs and the ability to leave messages for players so we are going to have to do better but I agree
  3. Well we have two three star recruits currently incoming on the o line and have received zero portal guys thus far so we are quickly approaching the end of that narrative but hey Roger McCreary was a three star guy too so its not all about the ratings..
  4. What evidence do we have of a player demanding to be able to Peyton manning the game? Genuinely asking.
  5. I have no clue but I've watched other staff at Arky and tenn already land various portal guys and we haven't got much or anyone so who knows what the staff is doing. My point was we need other positions to be filled much more than qb at least prior to the nix departure.
  6. He would have an offense he understands, be able to run again and be around a few players he once worked with. Wouldn't be that terrible at all. Guys really not a pocket passer anyways.. I mean sure, if he can go to a Clemson type program then great but I don't see that as a career ending move.
  7. Well prior to today's news I'd say the last thing we need for this roster is to be exerting time and energy on is bringing in transfer qb's but then again..
  8. LOL my fault.. I don't know why I get the two mixed up
  9. I am just glad he connected with Coates to beat Oregon because I really didn't wanna lose to that west coast school oh and for beating Bama most recently. I'd imagine he is headed to ucf. Edit-- Seth Williams
  10. The two programs seem like mirror images of each other since a/m entered the SEC but Texas a and m also appears to be on an exponentially more fruitful trajectory than auburn at this current juncture and would probably be seen as an upgrade in most assistants eyes.
  11. Best thing we could do if he leaves is bring Steele back. If Mason gets offered the job obviously it's an absolute no brainer to take at this current point in time.
  12. haha hell if he could just pull like one transfer portal guy like ive seen heupel and pittman pulling this week it would be a huge relief.. like.. just one. please God, someone anyone.
  13. so far pretty much every program appears to have nailed the coaching search with solid hires as it stands. subjective I know but I cant really think of a program that has whiffed on a coach thus far.
  14. he was only there for 3 and a half years w the first two years going 11-2 and then 10-3.. won both bowl games.. did they keep him in there to long? obviously recruiting fell off this year and the writing was on the wall but it wasnt to long imo.
  15. I have been too. It's one of the few sec schools that doesn't quite have that sec charm as much as some others the more that I think about it. I haven't been to all sec univ cities but one l was surprised to have liked as much as I did was Fayetteville, Arkansas.
  16. Ha ha no I think it was mainly Malzahn and steele
  17. If we are talking about recruiting and having a lame duck oc than dameyune Craig needs to be the man... Get that guy back at auburn.. Not only one of my favorite qb's growing up but he would be a major recruiting asset
  18. I never understood why people disliked Dilly so much. The 2019 year we had a filthy and brutal schedule, finished 3rd in the west, beat Bama and were extremely competitive against everyone save maybe the Florida game and a little offensively anemic against Clemson but Clemson was legit. I personally wouldn't hate the hire.
  19. It really seems to me that at a lot of programs around the country, the offensive coordinator is more of a shield or stop gap to be fired when heat is put on a coach. At least at programs where the coach is calling the plays rather than the OC but who knows.
  20. It is really quite sad indeed. The sport is going to look radically different in the coming years because of this stuff. Well maybe it won't look radically different but there is about to be stupid amounts of money unloaded to buy players.
  21. "his refusal to discuss vaccination status would require an explanation but is not a deal breaker" oh OK so if he makes a personal stand and says no he didn't then presumably he's screwed like Washington States coach but if he is ambivalent and doesn't really disclose one way the other... All good. These goobers are something else.
  22. Guys a good speaker, I'll give him that much.. He probably means the ability to step in and bring in coaches to be successful but that doesn't necessarily mean our big money backers and top brass were going to force that on him.. Could just mean it wasn't the right time for a lot of assistants he'd have liked to of targeted. Who knows. Would have loved to of had him at Au tho.
  23. There were reports that certain Miami boosters were pushing hard for Kiffin. Who knows who cares.
  24. It is true for broderius hamm, and keiondre jones.. Not true for nick brahms.. . Jalil Irvin recruited also by Michigan and georgia
