I believe Dell McGee is the answer

"We need a top tier proven coach!" ... Looks at brian kelley, looks at jimbo... Wheels begin to turn in ones mind. Maybe we don't? -

Auburn really isnt a dumb fanbase but it is a fanbase with the least reasonable and most unrealisticly achievable expecations in sports. -
with the risk of looking like a dummy.....

That sounds great and exactly what auburn needs and what auburn will always be even at our best. Perhaps if we were in the acc we can sustain like clemson over the past few years but we are not therefore i have reasonable expectations. -

Tua Gets Knocked Out on Thursday Night football
ThurstontheWelshCorgi replied to Didba's topic in Rivals Football
Haha every coach would have put him back in if cleared which he was.. Who cares what coaches are saying after the fact. It was a weak push down at buffalo and he is going to see a lot worse than that. He should hang it up. We disagree.. Big deal. Youre obviously triggered but oh well. -

dont you have some actual legal law work to work on? My goodness these paragraphs.. Guy should hang it up. Nfl is in damage control mode but every coach would have put him back in after the bills game. -

Safe to say the doctors that cleared him to play dont know what theyre talking about? Look, the hits werent even hits-- tua isnt going to get pummelled at somepoint. Needs to retire -
Haha to further his opportunities headcoaching wise like every coordinator who has coached for saban has done? Rhett clearly has oodles of love for gus and is a carbon copy down to his sideline maneurisms that are identical to gus much like jeremy pruitt was a carbon copy of saban from his speech in press conferences to his maneurisms.

if he can get his former teammate Takeo Spikes on the staff id be interested -
If theres one thing i know it is that no matter whom the ad at auburn is, he will be met with immediate disapproval and distain. They could hire jesus christ himself and people would say it is terrible. Perhaps thats a bad analogy but still..

Interesting comments from Mike G

Anytime channels like this get consistent access to players for interviews there is a strong possibility the incoming staff has worked a deal w them for pr purposes. Ive been a little skeptical of war rapports content in terms of objectivity since harsin arrived as a result. I personally like "vernon speaks auburn". -

Its possible i dont remember but i love the mentality either way... A mentality we sadly wont have the luxury of entertaining for a long while

how much longer until harsin is let go?
ThurstontheWelshCorgi replied to aubiefifty's topic in AU Football Forum
Oh for sure i totally agree. Alabama needs to legalize the real deal but thats for a whole other discussion. I agree the synthetic crap is insidious. -
I agree. I remember when we jumped out to that early td lead i thought we were golden but kerryons injury was extremely detrimental for us
-
Oh nothing close to tennessee level pain and heartache thats for sure. Ive been pleased w our level of competitiveness for the most part. There was rarely a time an opponent didnt take us seriously or think they could handle us easily and we had plenty of opportunities to roll toomers even given what you mentioned (more than most programs against those two) Now we get the tennessee treatment and its much much worse.

What’s our overall talent level?
ThurstontheWelshCorgi replied to AUght2win's topic in AU Football Forum
Well honestly compared to what most coaches inherit we were absolutely stacked outside of wr and oline. Left us w some amazing rbs, a capable sec freshman of the year qb, stout d to boot. I knew year one would be huge for harsin in order to get recruiting on track but unfortunately he hired bobo and that hurt a lot imo. The oline is where we lacked but that was no secret and at least two or three portal guys should have been brought in immediately. -
Because its bad a** and classic and the last thing we need is more jumbo screens to replay our product

Kind of looks like a fun little scram -
So whats the deal w dave arranda? Is he the real deal or is he more like a Chizik in which the oc (gus) or in his case (grimes) is the real key to his success?

Sanders could bring in 152 dudes and 77 coaches

Tua Gets Knocked Out on Thursday Night football
ThurstontheWelshCorgi replied to Didba's topic in Rivals Football
Well there you go, he passed medical protocols that are league wise. All 30+ coaches would have made the same decision. I agree w tigerbelle that Tua needs to hang it up after this because the two hits he took (if you can call them hits particularly the first one) pale in comparison to what he can and will see as a football player and the guy probably has a predispostion that is atypical. -

Ive gotten to the point in which i hope we dont give the ball to tank because its pretty much going for two yards or less 9 out of 10 times it seems
