  1. Harsin is a good coach and developer but I am not convinced he and his staff can recruit this area. The Auburn brand will still get you some regional 4-star kids but it won't be enough. He will have to counter-balance and sign additional 4-stars and a few 5-stars from other regions (Northwest, Texas, etc) and then win some important FB games. This could buy him some time until elite regional prospects will want to play for him. Timing is everything, we really need to win a big game soon (Iron Bowl?, Penn State home game?) + our bowl game & then aggressively promote the new FB Performance Center. Generally, I think we are still on track (mostly because of the LSU win and the new Performance Center). If you compare our new FB facility to UGA's brand new facility, our facility is more spectacular. Yes, UGA's is very nice and state-of-the-art but Auburn's facility is definitely larger: Auburn - 233,000 sq feet vs UGA - 165,500 sq feet! That's basically the size of UGA's facility + an additional elite G5 football facility on top (Boise St, etc). They definitely do lack campus space in Athens (for comparison: BYU is now building a new 200,000 sq feet facility), this could be a strategic disadvantage for UGA from an 'arms race' perspective, long-term (and building vertically can be very expensive).
  2. U.S. Worlds Trials AA results Kayla DiCello 55.350 eMjae Frazier 54.050 Leanne Wong 53.400 Konnor McClain 52.000 Olivia Greaves 51.850 Ciena Alipio 51.450 Olivia Greaves of Staten Island, N.Y./World Champions Centre was named the non-traveling replacement athlete. Frazier, Greaves and McClain have been added to the U.S. Women's Senior National Team. https://usagym.org/pages/post.html?PostID=26643
  3. This! No injuries and a competitive game vs UGA (which would mean continued progress!), an electric crowd & impressed recruits!
  4. Heavy rain all night and all morning in Auburn. Weather forecast is somewhat more favorable for the rest of the day (but still some more rain expected later today and tonight).
  5. These are the 6 final candidates competing for 4 spots to represent Team USA at the 2021 World Championships in Japan: Ciena Alipio (UCLA), Kayla DiCello (Florida), eMjae Frazer (California), Olivia Greaves (Auburn), Konnor McClain (LSU), Leanne Wong (Florida). Trials will take place this weekend.
  6. I think even if Bodini shows up again vs UGA and Bama it might not be enough to be considered this year. Next year would be a different story, though.
  7. DWTS: Suni advances to the next round. There was also quite a bit Auburn PR in Suni's intro segment during today's DWTS episode!
  8. Can we play Clemson in the "Tony the Tiger" bowl?
  9. Some updates: Addison Fatta will not attend Worlds selection camp due to an injury. This means Olivia Greaves might have a better shot now (of course, I don't wish injuries on anyone). Big recruiting weekends all over the country: Alabama had three 5-star recruits on campus this weekend (#3 in the nation Kylie Coen, #4 Lily Smith, and #12 Jamison Sears), 4-star Pricilla Park, and 3-star Whitney Bjerken + ...Arch Manning on an official visit... what a huge weekend for them. 🀒 LSU hosted 5-star Elizabeth Gantner (#1 recruit in the nation and UGA decommit. I really hope we are recruiting her.), 3-star Zoe Miller (who is now committed to LSU) and some of their 2022 commits. UCLA mostly hosted longtime commits this weekend (5-star Selena Harris, 4-stars Sydney Barros and Katelyn Rosen, among others). Not sure whether Auburn hosted any recruits but most of the top recruits visited other places this weekend. Maybe we will host some recruits this weekend (might not be an ideal weekend considering we are playing UGA but seems like we are going to have some 5-star Football and Basketball recruits in town later this week).
  10. AU Athletic dept tweeted Bodini yesterday
  11. Shipes sets blocking record in five-set victory against Alabama https://auburntigers.com/news/2021/10/2/volleyball-shipes-set-blocking-record-in-five-set-victory-against-alabama.aspx The victory was Auburn's first conference win of the season. It was Auburn's first victory in SEC play since sweeping Alabama in Tuscaloosa on Nov. 30, 2019. It was the Tigers' first home victory in conference play since knocking of Mississippi State, 3-2, on Nov. 21, 2018.
  12. I think this is a good point. Let Bo go wild and beat opponents with his legs as well as his arm.
  13. Bo still looks like a talented Sophomore QB who is on his own out there playing Manziell&Josh Rosen hero ball type of Football. Not his fault, coaches need to develop him. I like Geriner (2022) and would really love to land Dante Moore (2023)+ sign a West Coast QB transfer.
  14. I am worried Bo might get injured against this UGA defense… let’s see what Boise State trickery can do for us.
  15. Tons of dropped balls again.
  16. I enjoyed the Bodini Experience Show tonight but… run the football! This will not work against UGA next week!
  17. We really need to figure out how to utilize NIL to our advantage because everyone else is already doing it... and it's not just Football: FB: We don't really have to discuss this. MBB: I do follow Basketball but many other posters here are more knowledgeable. Kentucky is putting together an insane recruiting class. Arkansas and Alabama recruiting top 5-stars who normally should go to Gonzaga, Duke, UNC.. I read that Saban was indirectly involved in landing Bradley... and I am sure NIL played a role here. Memphis has figured it out too: https://dailymemphian.com/article/24398/memphis-tigers-emoni-bates-signs-nil-deal-roc-nation Fortunately, UGA Basketball sucks which is great for our recruiting. Swimming: We signed solid classes this year (Top 10 nationally, Women's and Men's swimming) but we have a new HC now and currently it looks like many of the top 2022 swimmers already committed to other programs. Although, we do sign good HS swimmers but programs like UGA recruit internationally. UGA is currently recruiting half of South Africa's national team including future international superstar Matt Sates (already committed). Texas is a national powerhouse and Florida is still signing pretty talented swimmers, esp this year's class looks promising. NC State and Virginia have top classes which means we can't recruit these areas. We have to recruit internationally if we want to be competitive (and NIL won't help here due to U.S. visa restrictions). Gymnastics: This should be the least of our concerns, we signed the Olympic AA gold medal winner and currently have another 5-star Int. elite committed (who might represent Team USA at the World Championships later this month). We also have another 4-star elite gymnast committed (2023 class). However, Florida and LSU just keep signing even better classes. Florida probably signed the best class in NCAA history (all sports). Arkansas' new coaching staff (basically a UCLA produced staff) is aggressively recruiting the nation's top gymnasts and UGA and Alabama are out there recruiting hard (incl. internationally, e.g. Canadian Olympians). Clemson now starting a new program... Baseball: I don't really follow Baseball.
  18. So let's get rid of the recruiting system then and install a HS/College draft lottery instead. Do you think Bama would still dominate in this scenario?
  19. This is the full list: Women's artistic program holds training camp in Indianapolis https://usagym.org/pages/post.html?PostID=26623 INDIANAPOLIS, September 27, 2021 - Over the weekend, elite junior and senior women's artistic gymnasts came together at The Gymnastics Company in Indianapolis to train ahead of next month's World team selection camp. 20. If TJ struggles and Bo replaces TJ during the game and struggles then you would have two broken QBs, though. I think we will see both QBs during the game but Bo will be the starter.
  21. This. Boise State philosophy is to recruit only certain players who are coachable and a cultural fit. This approach won’t work in the SEC if the talent gap is huge. At this point, what we need is an explosive offense and hang tons of points on our opponents to get recruits excited (and accelerate recruiting).
