  1. That’s a huge “strategic win” for recruiting.
  2. There is also quite a bit of recruiting news (2022 & 2023 classes). I will post some updates in the coming days.
  3. Tigers split season's first dual meet at Florida State https://auburntigers.com/news/2021/10/15/swimming-diving-tigers-split-seasons-first-dual-meet-at-florida-state.aspx The Auburn women, ranked No. 23, knocked off the Seminoles for the second year in a row with a 177-123 victory while the men dropped a hard-fought contest, 153-147, to No. 15 Florida State – an improvement from last year's result. WHAT'S NEXT Auburn will make their home debut next Friday when the Tigers welcome Kentucky and North Carolina State to the James E. Martin Aquatics Center for a double dual meet.
  4. Interesting. I think he is still planning to visit LSU and Houston?
  5. I couldn't find a thread but this kid is exciting. ESPN 5-star recruit and currently ranks in the Top 5 nationally, overall. 5-star Jahki Howard Norcross, GA http://www.espn.com/college-sports/basketball/recruiting/playerrankings/_/class/2024 Offers: Auburn, Georgetown, Georgia Tech, Georgia, Florida, LSU, Texas, among others 247 scout report: Howard is a project wing loaded with the elite long term tools to be great. He is very long, athletic, and disruptive on the defensive end. Howard plays hards in spurts and is productive on both ends when doing so. However, his entire skillset on the perimeter will need to evolve. He has a clean jumper and ball handling skills that are improving, but he produces more with his athletic ability than with skill. Howard's basketball is ahead of him as he does possess a significant upside. High major programs are drawn to his freaky athletic ability and his terrific potential in the game. - - - - - - - - - -
  6. No doubt it’s a (lack of) focus issue. However, it’s basically the entire unit (and not just a few players), so coaches are mostly to blame here.
  7. I keep hearing and reading it’s between Auburn and Houston. I can’t really believe it though, it should be Auburn vs Alabama. However, maybe if he really wanted to go to Bama he would be committed to them by now? (Arkansas just landed another 5star and some rumors that yet another 5star is on the way… What’s going on in Fayatteville? Walmart$$ ?)
  8. This! We already have to deal with the Bama-DeathStar...don't want to see a second DeathStar in our neighborhood.
  9. Yes, this is more recent. The idea is based on rivals, 247, etc They even rank classes, update commitments regularly + its a free recruiting service offered by CGN etc: https://collegegymnews.com/recruit-ratings/
  10. He would be a signature signee this year but I would still rank Jarace Walker (Basketball) higher. We should find out in the coming weeks. Top3 Auburn recruits across all sports: Clemons (Football) along with 5-star Jarace Walker (Basketball), and 5-star Olivia Greaves (Gymnastics, already committed) are all must-gets for Auburn athletics.
  11. It seems like he is on the market. I would stay away from him, he is too much of a drama queen.
  12. I would say it is mostly between Auburn and Oregon now. Penn State could be still in the mix somehow. Oregon has a strong appeal, they are a good PAC12/Nike program. He would have to relocate to a completely different region otherwise. However, if he wants to compete at the highest level, then the SEC should be his top option.
  13. Great list! What about QB Dante Moore? https://247sports.com/player/dante-moore-46084709/
  14. Clemons is our top target. IMHO he has Dez Bryant-Level potential!
  15. Nice win at LSU and Lol @ LSU No. 22 Auburn downs LSU on Arias’ golden goal https://auburntigers.com/news/2021/10/10/soccer-no-22-auburn-downs-lsu-on-arias-golden-goal.aspx
  16. Lindys ranks Auburn #1 in the SEC and #10 in the nation. How realistic is this ranking?
  17. It seems like Tre Donaldson is recruiting him hard (they are pretty close). However, his IMG teammate & Bama commit Jaden Bradley has probably more influence. According to Donaldson we are in a good position, however. Jarace is our most exciting recruit this year (across all sports)! I would really love to land him, he would be right there with Cooper & Smith: 2020 Sharife Cooper, 2021 Jabari Smith, 2022 Jarace Walker? - and 2023 Isaiah Collier?
  18. I think 5-star recruit Jarace Walker was standing nearby and then Cam Newton joined the group. There is an interview with Jarace discussing his official visit, it’s available on rivals (free article). He stressed the family aspect of the “Auburn Family” and was excited to meet Cam Newton. He even met Charles Barkley.
