  1. Nick Smith signed with Arkansas after all. Since Stephon Castle is predicted to UCONN who are the next 2023 targets? I know we really want Carlyle but he is not planning to commit anytime soon. Any London Johnson updates btw? I haven't heard much lately.
  2. I think his parents live in GA but I am not 100% sure. He has extended family in NE.
  3. UCONN invited Stephon's grandma to his OV (he hadn't seen her since Covid). His mom tweeted about it...they are all big UCONN fans now.
  4. ESPN ranking 1. Duke 2. Gonzaga 3. Auburn 2022 Top 100 players: PF Jabari Smith (No. 3), SF Allen Flanigan (No. 31), C Walker Kessler (No. 37) Other NBA scouting targets: PG/SG K.D. Johnson Prospects for overseas or other pro leagues: PG Wendell Green Jr., C Jaylin Williams, SF/PF Devan Cambridge Bruce Pearl's attractive style and track record of player development has helped him lure two McDonald's All Americans in Smith and the UNC transfer Kessler, despite the presence of a not-yet-resolved NCAA investigation. Smith has shown early fireworks that might warrant consideration for the No. 1 pick if he continues to evolve in SEC play, while the 7-foot-1 Kessler's combination of size, shooting and shot-blocking instincts will always be attractive to NBA teams. The question marks surrounding the return of potential first-rounder Flanigan from an Achilles tendon injury will help determine how high this team's ceiling is in March as well as the evolution of bowling ball-like scoring machine Johnson as a decision-making combo guard. 4. UCLA 5. Tenneseee
  5. Clemente’s updated prediction is UConn now
  6. Castle to UCONN most likely according to JLee
  7. Actually, I am mostly referring to the offense in my post (I should have stated it).
  8. Bo, TJ, Geriner next year, that’s tough competition. + I read somewhere that we might be recruiting Tanner Bailey.
  9. Currently, Oklahoma has four 5-star (three commits from CA) and three 4-star commits in the 2023 class. Some of them could be LSU flips, combined with LSU’s 2022 class and 2023 potentials, that looks scary to me.
  10. True but since we didn't land N.Smith, JWalker, etc, there is some real need to land a potential 5-star recruit this time Mabye it would also help landing Carlyle later on !
  11. Somehow Ole Miss / second half was the tipping point. It’s all downhill from there…
  12. I don't think this class ranks as high as Gary Taylor's 2021 class (I don't even think its close). Taylor actually recruited a nationally Top10 class (Men and Women). He even landed two Junior Team USA swimmers (however, due to the coaching change we lost one of the top signees to UGA via LOI release). Covid maybe played a role and some of the kids wanted to stay closer to home at that time. Swimming is a bit different, kids sometimes suddenly explode within a season and this is what happened here. Some of the 2021 recruits were initially ranked in the 30s, 40s, and 50s nationally and then exploded and ended up being ranked in the 20s and even Top10, nationally. Taylor did a great job here in evaluating talent. Maybe some of the 2022 signees will similarly explode in the coming months. Unfortunately, currently there is not much talent in our region. However, we "lost" a nationally top ranked recruit to Virgina (Sebastian Sergile, #1 GA, #11 USA, Swim Atlanta, Alpharetta, GA). There is a highly ranked 2024 recruit we really need to land: Levenia Smith, (#1 AL, #6 USA, TNT Swimming, Spanish Fort, AL)
  13. Auburn S&D signs 12 to complete Wochomurka’s first class https://auburntigers.com/news/2021/11/15/swimming-diving-auburns-d-signs-12-to-complete-wochomurkas-first-class.aspx?fbclid=IwAR0kpUwGXAsFKAVkCfJTKNMTp5ToOY9FBdP9vX6My-V3eCVYTzqa7j-hXjg AUBURN, Ala. – Twelve incoming swimmers and divers signed their National Letters of Intent to join the Auburn S&D program as a part of the 2022 class, head coach Ryan Wochomurka announced Monday. It's the first recruiting class to sign with Wochomurka and his staff. "We are excited to welcome this incredibly talented group of student-athletes to the Auburn Swimming & Diving Family," said Wochomurka, Auburn's first-year head coach. "We look forward to providing them with the quintessential Auburn experience and helping them to develop into world class students, athletes, and people." The class is made up of 11 swimmers and one diver. It's a group that spans from coast to coast with eight different states represented in all – Alabama, California, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Texas. It's also a group that features versatility in the pool with different swimmers specializing in different strokes. The lone transfer in the class, Daisy Platts, is a graduate transfer from Bowling Green. A native of the United Kingdom, Platts is a three-time MAC champion in the 200 backstroke and holds the school record in both the 100 and 200 backstroke. Among the other swimmers to sign, four (Casey Cullen, Morgan Gore, Ainsley Jones and Kyla Maloney) competed at Wave I of the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials in June. Kyleigh Kidd, of Southlake, Texas, is the only diver to sign. Kidd finished second on the women's 3-meter at the 2021 USA Diving Open Championship in August.
  14. UCONN fans are very confident and somehow UGA is also in the mix: “For those wondering: Castle's teammate (#108 Marquavious Brown) just committed to UGA on 11/11 and is recruiting him hard to follow”
  15. They also have either close friends or family on the UCONN staff but I still think Auburn has a s shot. It’s much closer to his 1st home.
  16. Commitment date: Nov.19 5:00pm ET Finalists: Auburn, Arkansas, Connecticut, GA Tech, Ohio State It's probably between Auburn and Connecticut.
  17. Outcoached, outschemed, outplayed. We failed on every level against Moo State. This is not the first time Harsin was outcoached by Leach despite having a comfortable lead: ...Washington State (2-0), which trailed by 21 points in the fourth quarter... https://www.espn.com/college-football/game/_/gameId/400935267
  18. Big recruiting update! Suni spent the weekend in Auburn - recruiting! Highly ranked 4-star elite gymnast - Addison Fatta was on an OV to Auburn. She is a highly ranked gymnast (2023 recruiting class), also being recruited by Oklahoma and Florida, possibly LSU. UPDATE A.Fatta is now committed to Oklahoma. Still great to see that Suni is recruiting these top elite gymnasts.
  19. It says he will be out for the USCe game but it seems like he might be completely done for the season.
  20. This is Harsin vs Leach (2017). There is some history. The Cougars trailed 31-10 early in the fourth but did not give up. https://www.espn.com/college-football/game/_/gameId/400935267
  21. USCe is playing for a bowl game now and they managed to beat Florida and almost beat Mizzou. They are trending up.
