  1. Not really, we are actually behind. Arkansas athletes have already signed 300 NIL deals. NC State and UVA managed to sign a number of 5star athletes (Basketball, Swimming) based on their NIL programs. Washington’s NIL program is backed by Costco, Amazon, and Alaska Airlines.
  2. 2023 Current Recruiting Class Rankings per CGN https://collegegymnews.com/2021/12/17/initial-class-of-2023-recruiting-class-rankings/ (most top gymnasts are already committed, except for some Int. gymnasts mostly from CAN and GB) 1 - LSU - Kylie Coen, Konnor McClain, Zoe Miller, Amari Drayton, Brooke Simpson, Leah Miller 2 - Alabama - Lily Smith, Jamison Sears, Chloe LaCoursiere, Whitney Bjerken, Audrey West, Gabriella Ladanyi 3 - Oklahoma - Caitlin Smith, Hannah Scheible, Addison Fatta, Keira Wells 4 - Stanford - Sydney Razeghi, Sienna Robinson, Victoria Cluck, Temple Landry 5 - Florida - Skye Blakely, Anya Pilgrim, Skylar Draser, Gabriella Disidore, Kaylee Bluffstone [...] 11 - Georgia - Holly Snyder, Jaydah Battle, Emma Grace Boyd, Heather Parker 12 - Oregon State - Sophia Esposito, Olivia Buckner, Taylor DeVries 13 - Auburn - (4-star) Julianne Huff, (4-star) Lyden Saltness, (NR) Bryn Bartman 14 - UCLA - Sydney Barros, Katelyn Rosen 15 - Kentucky - Cadence Gormley, Cecily Rizo
  3. I have no issues with him but I think Swimming is still unclear (recruiting is definitely down and we lost a top signee because of the coaching change (Jr Team USA swimmer who is having a great FR season at UGA) + I keep hearing that Bruce is not getting all the resources he needs to be successful (e.g. Basketball Performance Facility). Basketball should be our top priority now (esp with the FB Performance Facility under construction (great achievement) and NCAA sanctions mostly resolved).
  4. Great News! https://www.auburnvillager.com/news/target-a-part-of-downtown-mixed-use-development/article_cd8b0f46-5e82-11ec-aa6c-0fe8258bafd6.html
  5. USC fan analysis (Slovis): “I actually think he moves more than ADEQUATELY for a QB, and he throws quite well while MOVING. He’s just NOT an elite running QB. Yet, he may be as good as any at keeping his Eye-Discipline down field and DELIVERING the ball. He’ll do well in a system that utilizes Play-Action Pass, Boots and Waggles, and a Screen game. I notice on another cite that projects Portal info, KS9 is one of the very few prospects whose STAR rating has risen since HS as opposed to the MAJORITY who are in the “Falling Stars” category.”
  6. USC QB Kedon Slovis Reveals 'Criteria' For Transfer Destination https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ncaafb/usc-qb-kedon-slovis-reveals-criteria-for-transfer-destination/ar-AAROVis?ocid=msedgdhp&pc=U531 When it comes to picking a transfer destination, Slovis revealed the 'criteria' he is looking for in his next university: "I think for me, it's pretty simple. You know, there's lots of great opportunities, but one, an opportunity where I can play or at least compete to play, I think I have a good chance to get a job at. Secondly, I think, you know, overall, just a culture and a team that not only is ready to win, but I think I can identify with and is a positive atmosphere and something that I'm excited to be part of. That's a pretty easy criteria for me, I think. But I think it's a lot easier said than done. There's only a few programs in the country, I think, not few, it's probably 10 to 15 parts of the country, that really embody that consistently. I'm looking for that program that you know, wants me to be part of it."
  7. These are the wc kids we are currently chasing. WC recruiting is definitely a strategy (AU offers per 247): 2024 WR Ryan Pellum (Long Beach, CA) QB Julian Sayin (Carlsbad, CA) OL Isendre Afua (Seattle, WA) LB Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa (Bellflower, CA) 2023 WR Zachariah Branch (Las Vegas, NV) WR DeAndre Moore (Los Alamitos, CA) TE Walker Lyons (Folsom, CA) CB Caleb Presley (Seattle, WA) QB Malachi Nelson (Los Alamitos, CA) QB Jaden Rashada (Pittsburg, CA) QB Nicholaus Iamaleava (Downey, CA) DL Tausili Akana (Leni, UT) DL Jayden Wayne (Tacoma, WA) + 18 recruits who are from Texas
  8. So its basically just a numbers game? I checked the Ole Miss class today. I can’t remember seeing any WC signees. Kiffin might utilize the portal but he didn’t sign any CA guys this time or maybe waiting on some February signees. Their recruiting class is pretty disappointing considering the team’s recent success + Kiffin and Corral hype. I think NIL might be a huge issue for them.
  9. What does it take to land these West coast kids? Somehow these kids have family all over the country and we don’t just compete against schools out west but also against schools from other regions because of this. Apparently, WCoast recruiting is one of our key longterm strategies because UGA and Bama just own this region and there is no way we get to the next stage without national recruiting. Harsin and his staff already have offered many WC kids in the 2023 & 2024 classes. Also, we just hired the Seahawks QB coach which means we might recruit this region even harder next year and beyond. However, it will be tough to recruit the top WC kids to Auburn unless they have family here. Let’s assume we go 8-4, or even 9-3 next year. I don’t think it would make any difference to these kids + USC, Washington, Notre Dame, Michigan, UCLA, Stanford, and Oregon is tough competition. Even BYU, Utah, and Boise State and don’t forget about Kiffin. The new Football Performance Facility might help here but we would still have to win some big games (Penn State). Probably win 10 games and make some noise if we really wanted to land a few top 4star WC kids. We have future games scheduled vs California and UCLA which should also help in the future. Texas and Oklahoma joining the SEC could help elevating the SEC brand even further. We need to get these kids on campus and sell SEC football. Again, without the new facility we wouldn’t even stand a chance. I think successful WC recruiting would be rather “Stage 2” strategy but we need to establish relationships now and simply keep recruiting this area. If we keep winning more games, we might start signing some of these top WC kids who should make us better (the pool will be larger for us recruiting different areas at the same time). After a while of doing this successfully we would reach (Stage 3), we should then be able to regularly land some of the regional 5-star recruits who would normally sign with Bama and UGA. Fortunately, we don’t have to worry about FSU and hopefully Clemson anymore. I think it could take us 5-10 years to get there - unless we find a shortcut or a new strategy.
  10. This ranking is misleading. We are middle of the pack in the SEC and the gap between the top3 and the rest is huge. Unfortunately, we have to play the top 3 every year.
  11. Defense B and offense C (we need OLs and there is no real immediate impact player. Clemons would have made a difference)
  12. U-M beat writer still feeling confident though…
  13. We didn’t really steal him. Bama can only take so much. It’s true but he is still a Bama/UGA caliber player who will make an impact here.
  14. Rivals (Clemente) now predicting Clemons to AU!!
  15. Same, not really invested. I am more invested in Clemons lol.
  16. Nobody has a clue. I checked the UM and Oregon boards (last night) and even their writers are clueless. Apparently, Clemons was too tired after his trip and wouldn’t talk to anyone…
  17. I still don’t understand why Bo is leaving now - he is the starting QB at a major SEC school, new $100M Football Performance Facility under construction + Downtown Whataburger and Publix coming soon
  18. Wow, $5M offer back in the 1980s, that would equal ... $50000M today 😲
  19. This. Auburn could easily become Wake Forest SEC - maybe two solid years within a ten-year period and then the next cycle begins, another 8 miserable years and two ok years, etc... this is not 2000, 2010, 2015 or even 2019 SEC FB anymore. It is winner takes all and it could be Texas vs Alabama - with UGA, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M somewhat in the mix and then you still have LSU and Florida...
