  1. We need this asap. Apparently we are losing some top recruits to traditional Basketball schools and BP wants this new facility. Other programs are now seriously interested in hiring BP (Louisville) and we need to give Bruce whatever he wants… We can start donating here: Men's Basketball Facility https://alumniq.auburn.edu/giving/to/athletics
  2. Apparently, we got out-NIL-ed for some top recruits during the investigation period as reported by the paysites. Hopefully, the #1 ranking will soon attract some other recruits... we had a number of visitors here on saturday.
  3. Auburn vs Florida (1/23/2021) https://swimswam.com/katie-ledecky-beats-zane-grothe-at-florida-auburn-dual/ Auburn was led by freshman Anastasia Makarova who swept both breaststroke events. She won the 100 breaststroke in a personal best time of 1:00.41. That time places her tied for 36th in the NCAA this season. She won the 200 breaststroke in a time of 2:14.20. Looks like Anastasia is already our best swimmer winning some races as a Freshman. If she can get back to her 2019 form she might win some championships...
  4. Most likely LSU (according to LSU beat writer)…
  5. Looks like FR. Sara Hubbard is related to Gary Hall, Jr.: https://auburntigers.com/sports/womens-gymnastics/roster/sara-hubbard/17492 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_Hall_Jr.
  6. Exactly. Beam can be just brutal. Simone fell off beam all the time during trials, etc. If it helps the adjustment process, maybe she should focus on bars and even floor for a while.
  7. I think Sophia Groth (4-star signee & Freshman) is performing at a high level! She is outstanding!
  8. Lol, yes that was pretty cool... its more like Pearl City though!
  9. Germany gets bombed instead of Japan, Cold War still happens… U.S. satellite scares the Soviets and the Russians land on the moon first. CCCP win the Miracle on Ice game vs USA in 1980 (except it’s not a miracle). Khrushchev famous words “tear down this wall” refer to the U.S.-Canadian border wall (which finally falls around 1990). Same year, United States of America renamed into “America”. U.S. troops (actually American troops) about to invade the Lone Star state instead of Russia threatening the Ukraine… is that how it works?
  10. Yes, overall Florida’s facilities aren’t really that great. The swimming facility is avg at best and yet they just landed the number #1 ranked swimmer in the nation and a pretty good swimmer from NZ (apparently they have a great coaching staff including Katie Ledecky). The Gators do have an “ok” Gymnastics facility and yet managed to assemble the most talented Gymnastics team in NCAA history… Football: They are just now building a new $85M FOF. I think having the best coaching staff is still the most crucial factor in landing talent, however, $ + top facilities might get you the best coaching staff maybe. Coaches might be more interested in top facilities than players.
  11. Generally, I feel pretty good about our new FOF, should be ranked extremely high. Oregon has some unique Nike specifics and Alabama has an advanced Sports Science Center. I don’t think we will be able to compete with that but these are the only unique features that stand out, nationally. Our new FOF will be state-of-the-art and probably be ranked in the Top5 (considering that other programs are constantly upgrading). For instance, this is Oregon’s newly planned IPF (tbc 2024):
  12. All-American recruits voted on the best CFB facilities in the nation: 1. Oregon Highlights: Bowl room, self-cleansing lockers, marble showers, Ferrari leather chairs. (Players also get Jordans exclusives) 2. UGA 3. Notre Dame 4. Alabama Highlights: Sports Science Center, Hydrotherapy room with four waterfalls 5. Ohio St Highlights: Barber shop, basketball court, golf simulator, an arcade, cryotherapy chamber, sleep pods, an illuminated waterfall, integrated dining hall 6. Clemson Highlights: Basketball court, miniature golf course, bowling lanes, arcade games 7. Michigan Next: Oklahoma, Texas, Penn State, Texas A&M and LSU Also receiving votes: Auburn, among others
  13. Apparently, 5-star basketball players are demanding up to $2M now.
  14. Man, some new exciting additions coming this year and should be ready for fall semester: Downtown Publix, the new public Food hall (Hey Day market), new major academic building / Legacy plaza & new on-campus Starbucks, and downtown Whataburger is already open for business... + downtown Target will be under construction... and of course, the Football Performance Center. - - - - Target Hey Day Market Publix
