And I think most would be down for that. I believe Auburn has enough booster money to pay whoever whatever they wanted. It’s all about getting them to actually do it. To hear people say it the “PTB” have always wanted control of the football program. No better way than to literally get to control what players come in and out of the door. Just takes a little bit of $$$.

I’m very happy to hear that if true. At the end of the day, whether one agrees with the NIL thing or not, this is the new norm. Everyone is going to have to play the game, or get left behind unfortunately.

I guess in their defense before last year they were only allowed to block. They probably hadn’t run a route since HS. Needed some time to get back in rhythm. Lol.

Any too WR would want to play with C. Williams. Also, I think with a better QB we get better productivity out of our receivers. This guy can put it on the numbers.

Man I hope so. I hate them and have done nothing but seethe over their recent success. If they got this guy, my head may explode. Lolol. However the rich have gotten REALLY rich over the past four years so I wouldn’t be surprised. If not Auburn, anywhere but UGA. Outside of NIL money I don’t see why he’d want to go there. There should be more faith in Harsin and the unknown than Kirby and the known but these QB pile in anyways. Look at Daniels (outside of injury), could be starting anywhere and is bench riding behind a guy he’s clearly better than. Same with Justin Fields.

If we could get someone of Caleb Williams caliber then I’d believe we’d be in better contention with better OLinemen. Auburn already gets a lot of attention. If you add someone like him that increase tenfold. At least that’s my thinking.

Everything I see says UGA. I know it’s largely just rumors but I ain’t gone lie, that’d make me more sick to my stomach than anything that’s happened in college football in my lifetime. If Auburn wants to win it’s time to stop *****footing around and play like the big boys do. If we could get someone of this caliber, that puts Auburn in immediate contention.

I saw this too. He posted some other comments referencing coming here too. I think he’s already transferred one time though. I believe he’d have to sit out a year. I could be wrong though. These rules get me mixed up. I wonder if it would make a difference if he was a grad transfer.

We have to get ready to go guys for the line. Only way to do that is to go portal. Rarely is a freshman ready to go in the SEC. I’m hoping now that bowl season is over we will see some movement on the OLine front. If we could get us three good transfer OLinemen then the QB will follow.

I say bring him in either way. Very talented QB.

I hope he does too. It’s been frustrating not seeing any changes in recruiting for the OLine but I got faith he will clean it up in the transfer portal. We need guys who are ready to go right now anyways. IMO Harsin lives or dies by how he addresses the OLine.

My favorite thing about him is that he did not have previous ties to Auburn. It’s exactly what we needed. He’s also done a nice job of bringing in AU guys and non AU guys.

Oh most definitely. We need better players at a ton of different positions. Namely QB and WR. For me there’s not a bigger talent gap between us and the rest of the SEC as glaringly obvious as OLine is. That’s just my opinion though. Harsin will live or die by how he can turn this thing on the OLine around. Tom Brady would look mediocre behind this thing.

Absolutely the case and it’s tiring. You’re here because you’re an Auburn fan, not a Gus fan. Go create your own board or put on some black and gold and find a UCF forum to praise him on. I’ve said this in another post but I’ll say it again. No amount of losses or head scratching play calls will ever make me want Gus back in Auburn.

Definitely not making excuses, and you’re right, average QB play wins the game today but couldn’t the same argument be made that average OLine play balances out the less than average QB play. Do you remember the 2013 and 2014 seasons? Do you remember what it felt like to not worry about the call on 2nd & 4 because you knew they could line up on 3rd & 4 (at worst) and EASILY convert the third down? We haven’t done that in YEARS dude. YEARS. Nowadays I’ve accepted the fact that we won’t convert a 3rd & 2 and that didn’t start happening this year. My point is that we shouldn’ t have to out scheme a bad OLine and I think some of the questionable plays calls can be tied back to the poor OLine play. They had their moments this season where they weren’t bad. They improved in pass protection IMO. There’s not other excuse for the lack fo push in the run game besides lack of talent. That lack of talent has lead to Auburn not being able to successfully run the football like you need to be able to do to win football games. That’s all I’m saying.

I just don’t get how people don’t see this. It’s very obvious that some posters pick apart Harsin & Co. after every game with a fever they lacked when Gus was here. I’ve had times where I was frustrated with play calling this year but NOTHING beats the past 4-5 years for me. Also it’s not an excuse to say that Harsin is working with far less than a full deck. IMO OLine is the single most important position group on a football field and in my time of being an football fan I’ve never seen anything like this.
