  1. Assuming it is a qualification issue: pre-qualifying is not easy to do in 2 - 3 days for a borderline case. I imagine most of the time was spent trying to find some possible way to get him qualified after we got the transcripts and all the info. They are probably still looking for a way, but we are not going to spend the money and resources unless we are pretty sure a player will qualify. That said. I am not 100% convinced yet that it is a qualifying issue.
  2. "rules is rules." How is it JABA if the kid can't get in school, or, if we had to wait in official transcripts? The kid may have his heart set on playing somewhere else. Could have been scared off by the competition. May be an off the charts ridiculous offer somewhere else. A girlfriend. May be he feels obligated to go with a school that has had a relationship with him for more than 2 weeks. etc. It is not likely we screwed this up. The most JABA thing is Auburn fans calling "JABA" for every single thing that doesn't go our way.
  3. Kind of unfair to ask that of them. This board rips into anyone that posts something that doesn't come to fruition.
  4. Another thing Robby has ( I do not know about McCall) that makes him a good fit at QB is that he is a natural leader. Charismatic, happy, hard working, confident but humble, Loves the game , is pretty good, stays out of trouble, etc. The kind of guy that will not ask you to do something he is unwilling to do. The kind of guy people like to follow. He just need to learn to aim. LOL
  5. BH intro presser is on youtube. Harsin said all the right things. Sold me, but looking back you notice he is insincere. I think Freeze is sincere.
  6. I also agree, but don't discount the players already here. I saw quite a few players already on the team this year with lots of talent that could be really, really good. To me, a lot of them looked poorly coached and disheartened for most of the season. When they get their motivation and confidence back MANY will look like different players.
  7. There is a very good chance this is just a troll twitter account.
  8. I do not know yet. He was a RB from Auburn high school. went to U Penn, transitioned into a LB, and wants to come home. That is pretty much all I know about him
  9. Blessed to have received an opportunity to play as a graduate transfer at Auburn University! War Eagle! EDIT: There is a good chance this is just a twitter troll account.
  10. I didn't know much about him. Now that the sticker shock effect has worn off for me and I am over the initial shock, I am comfortable with this hire. A couple of let down years, but in general he has put together some solid defenses. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. WDE lets get us some 'cruits
  11. to be great in today's college football atmosphere, you need both JImmy's and Joes, X's and O's, the media on your side and some added luck. If you are light in any of those areas you will not make it to the top.
  12. He did have pneumonia earlier in the year. edit. not sure why this was put as a reply to you. was meant for sevenlee36
  13. Broome played lazy last night. He seemed to be "out of position" a lot (not under the basket when he needed to be) and he needs to get his freaking arms in the air. Why are his hands down by his hips when someone is preparing and shooting?!! The guy has to have about a 7 foot wingspan. He could have accidently blocked a couple of shots last night just by randomly raising his arms with his eyes closed. I learned that Pearl is going to have a heart attack on the court one of these days.
  14. Altman has his introductory press conference before changing is mind. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/news/story?id=2824653
  15. AND... not football, but Dana Altman took the job as Arkansas basketball HEAD COACH job and left for greener pastures the next day.
  16. Nah, we do a fine job of this on our own.
