Wow, bout time something like this worked out for us. This seemed like a pretty tricky issue and appears to have been handled perfectly by all. Big shout out to Aubrey and Vickie for their handling of this. They had a plan and executed it to perfection.

Career suicide because of one year and then becoming OC, QB, or WR coach the next year with a raise that would more than make up for one year of reduced wage? Could be career suicide to go to a non-P5 job for all anyone knows. Just random thoughts from me regardless. Just looking for ways to land a top tier QB and get a heck of an offensive coach to boot.

I guess I still don't see why Gus can't just hire KB in some temporary capacity, just for a year and then make changes later. It could easily be worked out. RL is going to get a HC job sooner than later. Bring KB in now, yes, at a reduced off field position with the understanding that he changes positions (OC or position coach) later with a huge raise. The bigger question would be if Gus wants KB around period.
