Excellent pick up for sure, he’s the kind of difference maker we must continue to recruit and sign. Gonna have to get that boy a new number though, the ole #7 at AU is not, nor will ever be available at AU.

Until we get back to recruiting elite OL (signing is probably more accurate) I’m afraid a lot of the observations we see here will continue to be the same.

Man I absolutely love these threads. So much good stuff in these and I really appreciate how you break it down in a way we all can understand. Thank you sir.

Special Teams should never be a “fail” on he report card. Very disappointing all around.

I don’t see how he’d get that much more exposure by transferring to a another school in-state, Muscle Shoals is plenty big and has had a lot of exposure with this run they’ve been on past few years. I don’t know what his plan is but I’d say it won’t simply be another state school. Just guessing obviously.

That was outstanding. Thank you very much for this.

Against AOT, Mark Sears continues his solid basketball play as he proves why he is one of the best guards in the country. Mark put up 19 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assist. Mark is displaying his aggressive play on both ends of the court. #Alabamafusion #NikeEYBL

And Arron as well I’d imagine. Russellville crew.

Maybe 'this year' was the joke I couldn't see. Most would tend to think of recruiting years in annual classes, but if he meant 2019, then yes, he got me.
I have no idea but it’s a pretty good little caveat there. If DTR doesn’t want to claim it, I will.

If he can learn the system and adjust to playing H-back, he'll be an asset. As far as "biggest commit this year", no. Whatever was meant by that comment, we have signed several larger and several bigger.
I dunno, not sure who has committed “this year” as DTR said. I could be missing some obvious answer here, but how many commits have we had in the last 20 days?

So not only can this kid dribble and pass like a whiz, but I just saw him throw down a monster two handed jam off a miss here at Athens. He might be 5’10” maybe. Talk about a beast athlete. Yes please.

he most definitely is. Always knew he was an elite athlete, but I've been inpressed with his 3pt shot. He's a way better shooter than Petty, who was a five star the year before who was apparently known for his shot from distance. Lewis is a baller. Hope he gets hype and leaves after the season.
At least one NBA team is kicking the tires. The vetting process has begun at least.

25 pass attempts within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage? That is truly astounding. Wow.

Thank you Cole was on him early and was 100% right about how good he was. Cole knows both from watching them when they are young and seeing them develop and I believe he has mentioned playing in pickup games with some of these young men so he gets to see them personal and up close. So when Cole says there is a good player from North Alabama you should listen to him.
Ha, yeah he should know about him, Lamonte is his cousin.
But yes, Cole knows about the NoAla b-ball scene for sure.

As much as we run and play pressure D we can use both of these guys. Part of the Pearl system is wearing out the other team. As to Cole's ability to scout players from North Alabama there is a very good player on the Tenn. team Cole told us about who has proven Cole knew what he was talking about. I am going blank on his name right now but I am sure Cole will be glad to remind me.

I love when Cole gets going. He’s like a shut down cornerback.

I’m sorry but I can’t get past the quality of our defensive opposition when discussing any offensive improvements. I do think we looked better overall but then again we should have. I imagine most SEC teams look improved after playing OM’s defense. The big thing that I noticed (as was mentioned) was Stidham throwing between the hash’s. That’s a game changer for us I think.

I don't know about passive. There were an awful lot of subs in the game on the last few Ole Miss possessions. It's good for morale and the future when those guys get playing time, but bad for statistics.
I wonder why there were so many subs playing on D but not for the O. You’d think if the game was out of hand enough to get some backups playing time on D then it was out of hand enough to get some meaningful reps for backup offensive players. Maybe we play a lot of backups anyways on O (not counting QB obviously).

Good to beat the Arky’s of the world I guess. Can’t pull up this crap with the big boys though. Gotta couple L’s coming our way I’m afraid.

I would add to that, there’s not many Peyton Mannings anymore. Quarterbacks aren’t calling the game from the huddle or line anymore.
And to add to that, there have never been many Peyton Manning’s anyways.

Should Auburn Switch to Nike?
in AU Football Forum

I do think it’s pretty funny that folks are injecting whether they personally like the Nike product or not as a valid reason to go or not go with them. I mean, stuff like that has no relevance what so ever with these endorsement deals.
