  1. I think we rely a good bit on the run game while having enough success through the air to not shoot ourselves in the foot. He doesn’t play a perfect game but does show he’s made great strides forward as both a player and a leader. Throws a pick, throws a td, and runs 2 tds in himself. We come out with a W with solid momentum heading forward. Fingers crossed.

  2. I mean of course it’s loud, but it’s not like we don’t play in extremely hostile environments and big games every single year. If we lose it’s not because of any goofy clothing choices those people  are making. That crap dies down fast if they get hit in the face right off.

I remember when some wanted Sark to be Auburn’s coach.  So glad we landed Harsin.  I hope he stays a long time and retires here.

I don’t disagree at this point but it’s not been exactly apples to apples has it? Let’s see after this weekend and then as we get in to league play before that card is played. We may not want any of Arky either for all I know.

  4. I don’t think it’s an accident we had a completely different offensive mindset yesterday than we did against Akron. Harsin/Bobo purposely gave PSU a little film to occupy them with without giving away the farm, and then backed off yesterday. Obviously we’ve been working on some things specifically for this game and I fully expect to see us as open as we can get at this point in our development of the new system. I’m cautiously optimistic that we roll pretty good actually.

I've been on the field three times in the last couple of weeks. Looks fine in person.

That really is weird then. The fields on the other game broadcasts didn’t look like ours and apparently it’s not just my tv that may be screwed up. I totally believe you, it’s just odd.

  6. The important thing to me is that we’ve got a kid with freshman of the year type talent. Lack of touches will more than likely prevent actually receiving the award (which means Tank didn’t get hurt :) ) but just having him in the wings is super cool. At this rate, he’ll have his time to eat coming up soon.

I live in Fayetteville, TN just above Huntsville. We don't have many great courses here. My local course is Pebble Creek. It is fun and has the best greens around, but it is just a 9 hole course. They keep it up nice.

Then we have Colonial and Fox Run in Hazel Green. Colonial is a nice little course. Fox run has come a long way since they opened in 96. We started noticing they werent doing much upkeep and letting some stuff go. Found out last week the course sold and is being turned into a housing development. I will try to make one more round there for goodbyes and to scavenge for practice balls. There is one hole on that course that all you have to do is walk 12 feet into the woods and you can find as many balls as you want. I went in looking for one Chromesoft, came out with 49 others.

The best courses around me are Saddlecreek in Lewisburg, TN and Willowbrook in Manchester, TN. Guntersville is far enough away it is not what I would consider near me.

Come to Athens and play Canebrake, quick drive down 65 from Fayetteville.

  8. I also thought it was an odd statement when the writer said something about sitting Tank this game so he’s 100% for PSU, UGA, and LSU. Like playing this game has virtually any impact on his health for the LSU game. What an odd stance and an ever odder reason for a guy to write an entire article about. Maybe he was bored or had some sort of deadline to get something, anything up.

I love that we tried to score on that last TD drive too. We were snapping the ball with around 7 seconds left on the play clock. Like we weren't going about it in a F U disrespectful way but we were def trying to score and i freaking love that ish!!!!!

Man yeah, I’ve never understood not letting backups run the plays and play the game as it’s supposed to be played. They practice as hard as the starters and should be allowed to go out and give 100%. We’ve also missed out on getting guys valuable game reps in the past and I’ve never understood that. Very refreshing all around.

  10. I think one of the things I’m most happy about (aside from beating a team we should like that in general) is that the staff let Finley run the offense and get meaningful snaps. He needed that just as much as the other guys did. Didn’t just send him out and dive left/dive right. Bobo/Harsin really handled that well without overtly trying to run up the score. We haven’t seen that in a long time.

So they will not get him in the 4 games allowed during a redshirt year?

Wasn’t time really. With the new staff in and an entire new offense we really needed to let Bo go the time he did. Throw in our backup and getting him meaningful reps was probably more important than DD getting some courtesy snaps.

UAB, Arky State, UNA and Troy formally extended offers. Now whether or not all of those were commitable (UAB was, I know) I can't say for sure.

If he turned down a guaranteed full ride to UAB to come to AU as a walk-on then I’m pulling for him even more. That is really some AU love right there. Give him a scholly!
