Unfortunately the only folks who remember conference champions is the school and fanbase of the team that won, and even that fades over time. Nobody else knows or cares and it’s a shame we went out without a bang the last quarter of the season really. Needed more talent and better play all around at the guard position, it’s as simple as that. We had a lot of the required parts but our deficiencies were too glaring when it got go time.

I’m as hard on him and as frustrated by his play as much as anyone here but in no way would I want to dump him. Nothing good comes from that and there’s better ways for us to improve than going that route.

Yeah that’s not a top 6 that’ll take us very far. Hopefully we strike gold in the portal. I’m betting we will.

I don’t know what else they would expect him to say at this point. The kid isn’t gonna stand up there after this loss and announce anything on the matter. I’d love him to stay too but that’s not reality.

Portal bigs to replace Jabari and Kessler. Moore probably transfers so there’s a portal option for an elite guard. I guess everyone else stays including Stretch. Got the 2 freshmen coming in too.

Yes I think I do remember hearing that. Maybe the recovered Achilles will allow him to shoot straight, make layups, and not pass the ball into the stands. Other than that yeah he’s our best next year.

Awful performance by the league all in all. Kinda embarrassingly bad after all the talk (our own league and fanbases mostly) about how tough the league was. It was tough I believe but hard to sell that when everyone craps the bed.

Multiple Miami players said in their press conference that they’ve seen great teams all year and weren’t particularly impressed with Auburn. They got asked about Jabari (and his dunk ad nauseam) and the beat writers kept referring to our All-Americans and asking how they can be stopped. These guys were ready and they talked the talk and walked the walk. That was dominating and they looked much better in every phase including coaching and scheme. We were fortunate it was as close as it was at halftime quite frankly. We were simply outclassed tonight. Back to the drawing board.

We’ve been like this for the last 10-12 games. Super average and inconsistent. Everybody had great excuses but it really was and is the reality. We peaked late January and been cruising ever since.
