  5. i do not understand this since his numbers are kinda hanky but maybe they are just trying to help the kid with some kind of classes or something we do not know about. regardless of doubt i will pull for him while he wears the orange and blue.
  6. al.com Auburn adds Bowling Green grad transfer QB Grant Loy By Tom Green | tgreen@al.com 2-3 minutes OXFORD, OHIO - NOVEMBER 13: Grant Loy #13 of the Bowling Green Falcons throws a pass in the game against the Miami of Ohio Redhawks during the third quarter on November 13, 2019 in Oxford, Ohio. (Photo by Justin Casterline/Getty Images)Getty Images Auburn has added another veteran presence to its quarterback room for the 2020 season. Former Bowling Green quarterback Grant Loy, a graduate transfer, announced Wednesday afternoon that he will be finishing his career at Auburn. Loy, a redshirt junior last season, will have one year of eligibility remaining. Loy appeared in 12 games at Bowling Green last season while making seven starts. The 6-foot-5, 233-pounder completed 56.4 percent (115-of-204) of his passes for 1,137 yards, six touchdowns and 11 interceptions but was also effective with his legs, rushing for 427 yards and four touchdowns on 100 carries. He finished the year as BGSU’s third-leading rusher and tied for the team lead in rushing scores. Last season represented Loy’s most significant action at Bowling Green after starting his career as a walk-on. He redshirted in 2016, appeared in six games as a backup in 2017 and then played in 11 games with one start in 2018. He brings added depth to the position for Auburn, where sophomore Bo Nix is the Tigers’ entrenched starter. Auburn also has redshirt sophomore Cord Sandberg and true freshman Chayil Garnett on scholarship, while the team also added preferred walk-on graduate transfer Caylin Newton -- the younger brother of Heisman and national champion-winning quarterback Cam Newton -- from Howard this offseason; Newton will likely spend time at both quarterback and receiver at Auburn. 7. i loved him before but even more when he grabbed stan whites face mask over poor play? i think i have that right. and they called him little bo peep as well? i think someone said when he was running towards you with the football all you could see were his eyes. i always thought he ran harder than just about any of our running backs. i am probably wrong but i bet he was at least towards the top........
  8. i have thought about suiting up in my cheerleader skirt and pom poms and watch for myself but i refuse to shave my beard or my legs. but can you imagine how epic it would be for the team to run out on the field and me over there cheering em on? i am gonna need someone to pick me up and twirl me around and stuff tho ell. can you handle it? and i am old and fat so do not dare drop me cus it would hurt when i quit bouncing...............winks
  9. can you give us any tidbits of how things are going during the shutdown? is bo improving? is he bigger and faster? which running back is showing out the best for the moment? who is the surprise out of this last class that will shock folks? man i wish you would do a small thread now and again. i understand and think most folks understand on here that things are always changing so i for one would appreciate any insights or talk you might hear without nailing you to the floor if anything changes. you could be our secret weapon for board info with pass the bisquits. just a thought but thanks for what you do share with us as it means a lot to me......
  10. i bought a pair of under armor sunglasses that are almost ten years old and still going strong. i assumed all their gear was top notch. i must say as a fat boy i hate the slim fit jerseys or i would have bought a number 24 which was my old mans number when he played on the frosh team in the early fifties.
  11. yes i have been corrected on that and my apologies. i made a post and then started reading the thread backwards and it bit me in the butt..............
  12. it was probably none of my business g. but we have people who always piss off someone who brings unique info to our site or someone who works hard to make the site better through what they do and i would hate to see another person get fed up and tell us to do it our damn selves. does that make any sense? i have nothing against mikey but i have seen him piss off a couple of dozen people at one time. this is why i spend most of my time in politics. i have already had a mod tell me i was not very well liked and a lot of folks wanted me gone. this is why i used to post so many articles on auburn things to kind of pay back those i upset one way or another. but then i got accused of spamming the site. so i assure you i am no authority on anything i just get tired of losing people valuable to the board because someone cannot shut up ya know? anyway i was just trying to give folks pause for a minute and i guess i have failed at that. but i will keep trying......
  13. mods are not allowed to iggie anyone from what i was told. E spends a lot of time and energy on this board with no pay. mikey you dook it out with everyone almost on this board and you never admit when you are wrong. i have crossed sword with you and also with E tho not near as much and it has been a long while. i have tried to make it a point with you to let you know it is not personal like with the tucker fredrickson bottle cap. if it is not personal maybe you could work it out with him? it is the christian thing to do i am told. and he burns a lot of time for us on this board. i would hate to lose what he brings because the more we got the better. you seem to tie up with more people on here than you agree with and if you let that sink in you might realize something. unlike the political board it is ok to be wrong. but as i am curious exactly how do you feel about bruce? thanx ahead of time.
  14. al.com 3-star center Dylan Cardwell commits to Auburn By Tom Green | tgreen@al.com 4-5 minutes Oak Hill Academy's Dylan Cardwell #20 is seen before a game against IMG Academy during a high school basketball game at the Hoophall Classic, Sunday, January 20, 2019, in Springfield, MA. (AP Photo/Gregory Payan)AP The most highly touted recruiting class in Auburn basketball history just got another boost. Three-star center Dylan Cardwell committed to the Tigers on Thursday afternoon, he announced on Instagram, choosing Bruce Pearl’s program over Georgia, Tennessee, Miami, Maryland and UConn, among others. Cardwell is rated as the No. 150 overall player in the 2020 class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, and the 31st-rated center in the nation. Cardwell becomes the fifth member of the Tigers’ 2020 class, which includes three players who have already signed their letter of intent -- five-star point guard Sharife Cooper, three-star forward Chris Moore and three-star shooting guard Justin Powell -- as well as another committed player who has yet to officially sign in four-star power forward JT Thor. The addition of Cardwell bumped Auburn’s class up a spot to eighth in the 247Sports team rankings, placing the Tigers just behind Arizona’s seventh-ranked class. Pearl’s program remains fifth among SEC teams in the national class rankings, behind top-ranked Kentucky, No. 4 Tennessee, No. 5 LSU and No. 6 Arkansas. The Tigers’ landing of Cardwell comes after the team missed out on a pair of top-10 five-star prospects last month, as combo guard Jalen Green signed with the NBA G League and big man Greg Brown committed to Texas. Cardwell had been on Auburn’s radar for some time, though he never took an official visit to campus and only received an official offer this week. Still, the versatile 6-foot-10 center had two critical ties to the program, as he is the nephew of Auburn football defensive line coach Rodney Garner and his wife Kim (and was at Jordan-Hare Stadium for the Kick Six in the 2013 Iron Bowl), and he was also teammates with Cooper -- the highest-rated signee in Auburn history -- last season at McEachern High in Powder Springs, Ga. Though Cardwell and Cooper were teammates last season, Cardwell did not appear in any games for McEachern after being ruled ineligible due to state transfer rules following his transfer from Oak Hill Academy, the basketball factory in Virginia where he spent his junior season. The two still saw time together on the court in practice, as well as on the Nike EYBL circuit with Athletes of Tomorrow last summer. At the 2019 Peach Jam, Cardwell averaged 5.2 points, seven rebounds and 2.5 blocks in six games while playing alongside Cooper and current Auburn wing Devan Cambridge. Auburn, which loses five seniors as well as one-and-done star Isaac Okoro (who is expected to keep his name in the NBA Draft), still has one available scholarship to fill out its roster for the 2020-21 season. The addition of the 6-foot-10, 220-pound Cardwell, however, fills a key need for the Tigers following the departure of big men Austin Wiley and Anfernee McLemore, as the team is set to return only one true big man in rising-sophomore Babatunde “Stretch” Akingbola. The 6-foot-10 Akingbola appeared in just 13 games last season and played just 30 total minutes but is expected to be thrust into a larger role next season, while the addition of Cardwell provides Auburn with another lengthy option for the frontcourt rotation. 23. you know he was kicked out of molly at that time. they had a huge concert at the orange bowl with bob seger and tons of other big name guys at the time. he was drinking takillya and they claimed he got so bombed he could not sing. he slurred his words { the obnes he could remember }and was stumbling around. later they found out after he went to the doctor he was diabetic and that was what happened. but he was super nice and very charismatic. and he was a big ol boy too. i think he played some football. and at that time he was recording his own cd with his one hit hurry sundown. those were fun times..........peace and blessings to ya 72.....
  24. i met danny jo brown who was the singer of molly hatchet in thomasvill ga which was his hometown. the bar was partners too. he sat in the audience right in front of the satge while i sang two hatchets tunes. i was still learning to be a decent singer back then but he was so gracious and nice.he gave me a few pointers and then he got up after break and and sang some skynyrd with us. he loved takillya and i remember he kept asking what the lyrics were. and i think he boinked the female singer we had who was also my gf at the time. we had it on tape and the gf took them. i do till have hi auto tho.
