i mentioned facebook smartazz because i know most of the people in my community and i see what they say. i told you churches are preaching politics around here tho it seems not all of them.

that i would not pretend to tell you i know but we can do better. we have turned Camelot into a political cesspool. we allow cops to shoot people in the back. one cop just chot a black man in the back of the head while the cop was on top of him. i think the cop said he was scared? i am sick of this kind of crap. churches trying to game the system and playing politics. pols doing what their corporate masters want and not what the country wants? we are now fighting over military grade weapons in the home and taking the rights of what a woman can and cannot do with her body? you remember you asked me this when they start coming for birth control. a country can implode just like it can rise up if we keep acting stupid. we have people living in the streets because they cannot afford a home or cannot get medical help. many of our vets are homeless but lets keep waving the flags like good patriots right and the hell with the real world. this country runs on freedom? ask kap what his decision cost him and he went and got advice from a seal on how to honorably protest the country? ask why in many cases poor folks pay more for taxes than corps? we are honestly letting our kids get murdered in school because people have to have their military style weapons? and before you come at me on that ask yourself why they make most of your rifles look like assault weapons? because they are popular. how long did it take those cops to stop the uvalde shooter? oh thats right they did not because they know those vests will not stop certain rounds. TRUMP used his anger and his crookedness to stock the supreme court when breaking an agreement between left and right. we got pols that believe in the crap of anon and the rest of those idiots. and what is next for gays? they gonna start throwing them off rooftops like they do in parts of the middle east? between kennedy dying along with his brother, martin luther king and the viet nam war we sucked all the goodness out of this country. it is very sad. i tell you two things i would start with. get rid of dark money in politics.make time limits for serving in american politicans where they are more interested in serving the people again instead of corporate masters. quit letting bad cops shoot people in the back and that sort of thing and get away with it. send religious peds to prison. ALL of them. all they do is move them to a new area and they just start again. and if any of the justices lied on their hearings like is being claimed then file charges. with the highest court in the land do we need a bunch of liars because something is special to them? once again you just keep watching because worse is coming.

Seven of the nine Supreme Court justices were put there by presidents from a party who haven’t won a popular vote more than once in three decades. Shouldn’t the Twelfth Amendment, which established the electoral college, be revisited? The Fifteenth Amendment gave Black people the right to vote. However, last year nineteen states passed laws that restricted access to voting. The Thirteenth Amendment outlawed slavery and involuntary servitude, but America’s mass incarceration problem proves this as untrue. Why isn’t the Supreme Court clamoring to restore these rights or rectify systems that fail the people? It’s clear that the right will continue to twist and contort anything they can to carry out their agenda—an agenda that has and will always harm this country’s most marginalized and vulnerable populations. In three decisions in the past eight weeks, the court has ruled against government officials whose policies and actions were taken to avoid violating the U.S. Constitution's First Amendment prohibition on governmental endorsement of religion - known as the "establishment clause." The court on Monday backed a Washington state public high school football coach who was suspended by a local school district for refusing to stop leading Christian prayers with players on the field after games. On June 21, it endorsed taxpayer money paying for students to attend religious schools under a Maine tuition assistance program in rural areas lacking nearby public high schools. On May 2, it ruled in favor of a Christian group that sought to fly a flag emblazoned with a cross at Boston city hall under a program aimed at promoting diversity and tolerance among the city's different communities. The court's conservative justices, who hold a 6-3 majority, in particular have taken a broad view of religious rights. They also delivered a decision on Friday that was hailed by religious conservatives - overturning the 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling that legalized abortion nationwide - though that case did not involve the establishment clause. Cornell Law School professor Michael Dorf said the court's majority appears skeptical of government decision-making premised on secularism. "They regard secularism, which for centuries has been the liberal world's understanding of what it means to be neutral, as itself a form of discrimination against religion," Dorf said of the conservative justices. In Monday's ruling, conservative Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote that the court's aim was to prevent public officials from being hostile to religion as they navigate the establishment clause. Gorsuch said that "in no world may a government entity's concerns about phantom violations justify actual violations of an individuals First Amendment rights." 'WALL OF SEPARATION' It was President Thomas Jefferson who famously said in an 1802 letter that the establishment clause should represent a "wall of separation" between church and state. The provision prevents the government from establishing a state religion and prohibits it from favoring one faith over another. In the three recent rulings, the court decided that government actions intended to maintain a separation of church and state had instead infringed separate rights to free speech or the free exercise of religion also protected by the First Amendment. But, as liberal Justice Sonia Sotomayor wrote in the Maine case, such an approach "leads us to a place where separation of church and state becomes a constitutional violation." Opinions vary over to how much flexibility government officials have in allowing religious expression, whether by public employees, on public land or by people during an official proceeding. Those who favor a strict separation of church and state are concerned that landmark Supreme Court precedents, including a 1962 ruling that prohibited prayer in public schools, could be imperiled. "It's a whole new door that (the court) has opened to what teachers, coaches and government employees can do when it comes to proselytizing to children," said Nick Little, legal director for the Center for Inquiry, a group promoting secularism and science. Lori Windham, a lawyer with the religious liberty legal group Becket, said the court's decisions will allow for greater religious expression by individuals without undermining the establishment clause. "Separation of church and state continues in a way that protects church and state. It stops the government from interfering with churches but it also protects diverse religious expression," Windham added. Most of the religious-rights rulings in recent years involved Christian plaintiffs. But the court also has backed followers of other religions including a Muslim woman in 2015 who was denied a retail sales job because she wore a head scarf for religious reasons and a Buddhist death row inmate in 2019 who wanted a spiritual adviser present at his execution in Texas. The court also sided with both Christian and Jewish congregations in challenges based on religious rights to governmental restrictions such as limits on public gatherings imposed as public safety measures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Nicole Stelle Garnett, a Notre Dame Law School professor who joined a brief filed with the justices backing the football coach, said the court was merely making clear that governments must treat religious people the same as everyone else. Following Monday's ruling, many issues relating to religious conduct in schools may be litigated anew under the court's rationale that the conduct must be "coercive" in order to raise establishment clause concerns.

No, because you don’t have to use it!” Goldberg said, according to Decider. “Well, he better hope that they don’t come for you, Clarence, and say you should not be married to your wife–who happens to be white. i grew up admiring tejas. i often wish i had lived instead of alabama often as a child. now i do not care so much. these people are over reaching so much as to force religious bias back into the schools. their laws to whitewash { pun intended } racism and throw it under the bus is awful. it sends a clear signal that folks of color do not count. they make it hard on the lgbt community and have added this language to the republican platform. "But what Texas Republicans had to say about gay rights and homosexuality and transgender people really stands out. First and foremost, the party wrote that homosexuality is an abnormal lifestyle choice. They also included language that says there shouldn't be any special legal protections for gay, lesbian and bisexual people, and they oppose any criminal or civil penalties against people who oppose homosexuality. i thought i would give you guys a small window into her world. she is going through so much. her best buddy kim is helping her and i cannot reach out to talk when she is hurting. i am just asking for prayers for both of us. there is nothing worse than seeing a loved one hurt and not being able to do anything about it. i might have it wrong but i got it in my mind when female patients go through the looking like they are pregnant look it is the end of the line. Brenda Luna is feeling pained. 50m · 5 hours in chemo today. This new stuff is giving me terrible headaches, muscle and joint pain, and the usual fatigue. Still have my hair, but at this point vanity is out the window and I could care less if it all fell out. But in fact my hair is the best it’s ever been in my life. I have days where I have very little appetite though I do make myself eat small light snacks. Grapes are the best when I’m not hungry. No nausea, but then they’re so prepared for severe nausea that an anti nausea is infused as well as a horrible painful shot they give me before infusion. It goes in my arm. The other option is in the stomach. Oh hell no! This shot seriously hurts! It leaves a large knot and bruise. The knot takes a month to go away, and it hurts for the whole month. It hurts so much going in that they have to numb the area before injecting. I’m assuming it would feel 10X worse without it. My massive hernia is causing lower back muscle spasms that can be severe. I’m assuming because my back is supporting what my core should be. I’m told I may just have to live with it because it’s so large and too close to my colostomy. Whatever! It’s impossible to find a hernia binder for ostomy patients. So between the hernia and ostomy I look like I’m in the beginning of the second trimester of pregnancy. And yes, I find maternity pants are quite comfortable with added light support. So if you see a 67 year old pregnant woman, it’s probably me. Like I said, vanity is out the window. As much as this post is a bitch fest, I should mention that I’m happy. My beautiful friend Kym and I see each other every other weekend. We do fun things together, we laugh a lot, we eat really good food. I have nice neighbors, I still enjoy cooking, I love to take walks as long as it’s not storming outside, my brother, sisters and extended family and friends love me, and I have my crusty old bird Yoshi to keep me company, or irritate me. Not to mention my last chemo infusion is July 20th! Every cancer patient has their own story. They’re all different. I’ve seen a lot of suffering. I don’t really feel like I’m suffering, just painfully uncomfortable at times but I refuse to let it overshadow all the good I’ve experienced. I’ve seen a lot of people stroll through treatment unfazed. That was pretty much me until the meds were changed. But this treatment will be over soon. I’ve met a few people that have gone through hell, repeatedly for years, but their positive attitudes, their spirit is intact. They’re my inspiration! The one thing I’m really grateful for is that cancer struck me in my later years instead of my youth. I’ve met so many young women, and men, in their thirties and forties, with young children and promising futures. The fear of the unknown is heartbreaking. As we age we learn to accept the inevitable. That’s not to say that I’m ready to go. Oh hell no! There’s a lot more life in me. A lot worth fighting for. Nobody is promised old age and that’s never more apparent to us as we grow older. so we have no safeguards against greed? you are going to screw your own country for record breaking profits for a few shareholders? i do not understand. and is this the same people that rarely if ever pay taxes? the rich are not hurt like poor folks are. and that let them eat cake is getting old to me. and the refinery thing has been an excuse off and on for years. i think we had one blow up or burn down and it crippled us then and we still have not done anything about that? and what do we have to do to get saudi and others we have not pissed off in the middle east to help us? say what you want i believe bombing some of those countries back to the stone age has hurt us. it might not be the main factor or maybe not since i am trying to digest all this mess. and what really pisses me off is i still have not gotten my tax refund which would help me get through this? it seems this is because of two things. i keep hearing covid and i keep hearing trump gutted the IRS. i know the social security office has not opened back up in my town so i assume it is the that way everywhere. i forget which one but the last time prices got this high one of the presidents went to the middle eat and fixed it. why can we not get it done now? because we raised hell about a murdered journalist?

sportscasting.com College Basketball Players Can't Wear Nos. 6-9 and It's a Problem 4-5 minutes In high school and NCAA basketball, players cannot use the numbers 6, 7, 8, or 9 in either the ones or tens place on their jerseys. This seems like a weird rule for college basketball players to have to follow. But, according to Rule 1, Section 22, Article 7, Clause b. 2 of the NCAA Men’s Basketball 2018–2019 Rules, “The following numbers are legal: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 00, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, and 55. Team rosters can include 0 or 00, but not both.” This eliminates 6 through 9, 16 through 19, 26 through 29, 36 through 39, 46 through 49, and everything over 55. That’s 35% of the numbers between 00 and 55. Confused yet? So are we, let’s take a closer look at why college basketball players have to follow this strict guideline. How are jersey numbers used in basketball? College basketball players’ numbers are kept in writing by the scorer, but they’re also indicated on the hands by the officials when there is a foul. The rules say officials should “Signal the official timer to stop the game clock when a foul occurs, designate the offender to the official scorer and indicate with finger(s) the number of free throws.” The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) is even more specific in its rules. They specify that “The Official shall report fouls to the scorer by using two hands to display the jersey number of the person who committed the foul. The official’s right hand will indicate the first digit of the number or the tens and the left hand will indicate the second digit of the number or the ones…. The digits of the number should be displayed at the same time.” Why does the rule exist for college basketball players? Since officials are supposed to communicate the jersey number of a player who committed a foul using two hands to indicate the entire number, there are numbers like six that would cause confusion. Depending on which fingers were used, the scorer might think the official meant 15 or 51 rather than six. Having the rule creates a nice, simple system that minimizes confusion for the scorer. According to the New York Times, the NCAA has followed the numbering rule likely since the early 1960s. However, they don’t have a record of why the rule was officially introduced. Keeping this rule is likely also tradition since it’s been around for so many decades. When does this rule cause problems? This rule becomes a problem for schools that have retired a lot of jersey numbers. It doesn’t leave many number choices for new college basketball players. For example, Michigan State currently has nine retired numbers out of the 37 options while Duke has 13. Could the rule be changed? Critics of this policy point out that scorers should be able to figure out the difference between six and 15 and 51. Instant replays also could make the fingers less crucial. Replay equipment is now required at NCAA games. There have been rule changes regarding NCAA college basketball jersey numbers in the past. Numbers one and two used to be on the “not allowed” list too. The reasoning was, they could be confused with the signal for the number of free throws. They are both permitted today. What do other leagues do? Other basketball leagues don’t seem to have this number problem. The NBA does indicate the numbers of players who foul using fingers, but they don’t have the same restrictions on jersey numbers. In the NBA, any number can be used from 0 and 00 to 99. The Los Angeles Times does point out that, even in the NBA, numbers six through nine are less common. This makes sense since players want to keep their college numbers. Players on international FIBA teams can also use numbers 0, 00, and one through 99. Officials use two hands to show numbers, and they display the tens place first with the back of the hand(s) facing forward before displaying the ones place with the palm of the hand(s) facing forward. Before 2014, with the introduction of video replay for scorers, FIBA players used only numbers four through 15. Hopefully one day college basketball players will have the freedom to pick the jersey numbers they want. It really is a small thing to ask for in the grand scheme of it all.
