Cole Cubelic said in a recent interview that he knew of one transfer QB that freeze was looking at but it may or may not happen. I think Coles pretty tuned into Auburn these days, so Im hoping this pans out.

Freeze has given us a chance with Williams after he was ignored for a year and a half under potato-head. Long shot or not you pour everything you have into landing this guy. Hes a program changer. After watching Craver last night, this has to go down as an all time WR class in this state.

The intrigue for me is it seems clear than Bolden is recruiting McCray, but is it for AU or FSU? I got facepalmed on here for asking about Matt Luke, but I think he would clearly be a step up in regards to recruiting O Line. Edwin shouldve been closed weeks ago.

The Thompson QB is only a 9th grader and already being recruited by basically everyone, including Au and Bama.

5/16 for 91 yds passing and 15-57 rushing. I just dont get it. Because the receivers are bad doesnt make the QB good. What if everything is upgraded except QB and hes still bad?

The ON3 guys said in a recent podcast that Williams coming to Auburn would be dependent on which QB was brought in thru the portal. It now seems uncertain if anyone is brought in. Im holding out hope as names keep dropping that Freeze will add somebody.

Pretty obvious what our current WRs were told in their end of season meeting with Freeze.

Or you could ask if Thorne entered the portal where would he be ranked on the QB list? My guess would be way down the line compared to the names being mentioned.

A possibility but likely to stick with Bama last I heard from ON3. AU still working him and LJ McCray(UF), but both are still projected to stick with their current commitment. Freeze wont give up though, so always a chance.

I think a lot of these WRs leaving will be headed to lower level competition.

I would say CBS let themselves go. They were getting a cheap deal on SEC broadcasting and refused to budge when it came time to renegotiate. Their future is showing 3rd rate Big 10 games. The SEC is the clear winner here.

On the latest ON3 recruiting show, they basically said any chance of Ryan Williams signing with Auburn is dependent on who is landed in the QB portal. Freeze isnt investing all this effort in trying to flip Williams if he knows hes not coming.

So, what if the line and receivers are upgraded and Thorne still struggles? The WR group coming in wants to be used like receivers not blocking dummies. There has to be a transfer QB brought in. Other than Arkansas Thorne was awful on the road. Weve gotta have a guy that can go to Tuscaloosa and Athens and lead an offense.

Youve gotta think so. Those guys arent coming here to play with Thorne.

I think A&M wanted a splashy hire to counter Sarkisian coming to the SEC and it didnt happen.
