Hes probably a very good hire but it doesnt solve our problem. The people here now can identify talent but cant get them to come to Auburn. I dont see how an NFL guy is going to help solve the glaring issue hanging over the program?

Not to get this thread off base, but Garner was doing the heavy lifting recruiting for Bowden and he landed Spikes, Martavious Houston and several others. Bowden sealed his own fate here when he tried kicking Garner to an admin role and Garner told him to pound sand( in not so nice language) and went to Tennessee. Recruiting cratered from that point.

Ill say the same thing I said about Gus. In recruiting at this level, at some point the HC matters. Assistants cant out-recruit Smart, Saban etc. Does anyone really believe at this point Harsin is going to start landing top level players consistently(if at all)? I havnt seen Auburn recruiting this bad since Terry Bowden was here.

Harsin hasnt had traction since hes been here. Its not like these issues just started after the investigation. Mason and Eason helped salvage a decent class but they couldnt get out of town fast enough. DL recruiting is approaching the train wreck level that is our OL recruiting.

Zeek, really appreciate the work you do breaking these names down in a managable list. That list is an utter disaster for Auburn. Forget top 10 nationally we wont be top ten in the SEC.

No sugar coating this one. AU is losing in state quality players to out of state schools. And for all the options at DL earlier, theyre coming off the board at a rapid pace.

Zeek, with losing Faulk, Osborne looks headed to Clemson and Darron Reed commited to LSU, it seems like DL recruiting is going almost as poorly as OL. Thoughts?
