  1. We're 4-0 with two wins over ranked opponents, one of which was on their home field with 100k+ in attendance. No, the sky is not falling.
  2. How easy is it to run when the blocking isn't there?
  3. Probably, but it's not impossible that the light finally comes on for Prince Sammons.
  4. Not many grad transfers are going to come to Auburn to be a backup, even if they do have two years of eligibility left.
  5. Not many of those out there...and we really need young OL, not grad transfers. We should be good on the line for this year, at least.
  6. Auburn will be his fourth college in four years. It certainly seems like he transferred from Oklahoma because he realized he wasn't going to get any spotlight there, went to JUCO, then apparently didn't have any suitors in the FBS ranks so he went to an FCS school hoping a big school would get interested. To be completely honest, this seems like a kinda desperate move by Malzahn.
  7. I understand the stated reasoning of wanting a replacement for Slayton, but I don't particularly like it. Why not put Matthew Hill in that spot if we want Seth Williams in the big slot role? We have an abundance of talent at wide receiver, three tight ends who all fit the mold of a big, physical receiving threat, and now we have one less initial counter opening to bring in a grad transfer at a different position. That said, since it's a done deal, I hope the young man has the season of his life and gets the chance to play in the NFL. I wonder how his jumping skills are for high pointing the ball? I really don't know what to expect out of a former 3 star (who played at a high school football powerhouse, so it's not like he just slipped through the cracks) that hasn't exactly put up all world numbers since leaving Norman, but he does at least have the size to give me hope that he can contribute.
  8. You might be right. I just remember thinking that if Cam hadn't transferred to Auburn, we would have done whatever necessary to have Rollison on the team that year.
  9. Well, if it hadn't been for Cam, we probably would have pushed harder to enroll Tyrik Rollison, and we still would have had that super experienced offensive line. I think the 2010 team still would have been a 9-10 win team without the Heisman winner.
  10. I'd say we're looking good for 2021 and beyond now.
  11. By the time Jared's class graduates, if he doesn't go pro early, then I expect we'll have a top notch recruiting class all strung together, because everyone likes playing for a contender. I could see Chuma coming back next year to prove the injury was a fluke, and with the kind of success we're likely to be having, he'll be center stage all year long with a superstar point guard who knows how to get him the ball. And the sky is now the limit for our basketball program because we hired Bruce Pearl.
  12. I'd love to see these two in burnt orange and navy. And at least one more player at 6'9 or taller with good basketball skills. Always good to have at least two taller than 6'8 to play the 5.
  13. Think he was saying he'd like to see Tisdol and OP on the field at the same time.
  14. Is he expected to get any bigger? I know a player doesn't necessarily have to be 6'2-6'3 to play the inside backer position (hello, Sam Mills!), but generally LBs in the SEC are taller than 6'0.
  15. The two characteristics put together are not as uncommon as many seem to think.
  16. You sure are going out of your way and putting in a lot of effort to ensure WDE gets no credit.
  17. Don't forget about Shivers. He may be a short guy, but he plays big, and he might be the fastest running back ever to play at Auburn...which is saying a lot, considering the man, the myth, the legend Bo Jackson once hung his spikes on the Plains. @ellitor How many backs are we looking to take this cycle? We've already got four studs who will be sophomores and freshmen in 2019; do we still look to get two more for the 2020 class, or just aim for a single big one?
  18. I just saw that before coming on this thread. Well deserved, IMO, even if it doesn't really mean much on the field.
  19. I wouldn't be surprised to see Gatewood transfer if Nix wins the job. Think Willis and Sandberg stay.
  20. The OL returns 5 starters from a group that improved as the season went on, the leading rusher was a redshirt freshman (with all other primary contributors returning), and we replace a QB (who seemed more intent on playing out another season in college to enter the draft in a down year for QBs than being part of the team) with an open competition between a junior with a little bit of game experience, a redshirt freshman with all the measurables to be a standout, and a true freshman who is a two time state champion, Mr. Football in Alabama, the son of a former Power 5 offensive coordinator, and from all reports has an astronomical football IQ. That said, however, I feel pretty certain the first five words of your post were made in sarcasm, based upon what I know about you.
  21. Go to the recruiting forum. You'll find everything we have on potential transfers there.
