People aren't going to do a single thing except complain and still tune in

I got a feeling they'll tune in even closer than before seeing how there won't be any GSU, Akron and ASU's on the schedule anymore.  I would definitely buy tickets and travel for a conference game. 👍

I can. We as a society love our football.

Some won't be crazy about it but their would not be a fan revolt. We love the sport too much as said above.

They'll have to if they want to stay tuned to the sport they love.

In other words, you pesky old fans just get on board, sthu about your "rivalries" because the SEC and ESPN don't care.  They're getting rich doing it and that means it's happening regardless of how you feel.

And even as a trim color it needs to be "burnt" orange.

Not that brassy looking ordinary Clemson or Florida orange that seems to be replacing the traditional burnt orange, at least in fan clothing.

Somewhere along the way Auburn traditional school color of burnt orange got "tweaked" for visual impact on TV I guess.  Now it's "hunting safety" orange.

I'm guessing we all agree now that we don't have a quarterback controversy or a two QB system. YMMV on how good or bad they've been overall, how much the LSU game really meant, etc... but Bo is our starter and Finley is our backup. Agreed?

So with that said, is there a predetermined game script situation- 3rd series, certain down and distance in the 4th quarter, 2 minute drill, etc- where it makes sense to rotate Finley in? Does his skill set lend itself to a modified offense for certain situations?

For example, does it make any sense at all to dink, dunk, RPO and maybe even read option them for a quarter and a half and then bring in the Howitzer to take the top off the defense? I'm guessing that would be rather transparent but it's the best my very limited football brain could do.

This is not a "When we're not able to move the ball" or a "When Bo plays poorly" hypothetical. I'm thinking proactive and strategic, here. Not reactive and desperate. And I'm definitely not predicting any struggles on Bo's part beyond what uga has been doing to every offense they've faced.

I could see CBH giving him a designated 3rd series regardless of the score.  If anything it may help settle down any nerves Nix and the offense might have in such a big game and help bring them back into focus.  Finley does have some intangibles that Bo doesn't have and you just never know how they'll react.

    Just an FYI,

Every coach at every school will be compared to the previous coach at said school. Especially when the previous coach was fired for lack of success. Gus was compared to Chizik. Chizik compared to Tubbs, Tubbs compared to Terry and Terry was compared to Dye.  And that’s just in my lifetime.

Gus will be brought up and compared to because it is required to compare to the previous staffs to analyze if levels of improvement are being achieved

Harsin being 1-0 in a situation where Gus was 0-13 is extremely noteworthy. He deserves recognition for that. Even if he doesn’t work out it’s a very positive sign at the moment

This is exactly right.  The only problem I see is some folks are incredibly insulting in their comparisons and critiques about our former and current coaching staff.  I just think the insults and belittling type of stuff is unhelpful to the AU football program as a whole by sowing seeds of doubt in the minds of Auburn football supporters, players and potential recruits or recruit's parents, imho.

  6. If Auburn can withstand UGA's initial assault and keep it close in the 1st qtr we'll have a chance.  We'll have to play mistake free (no penalties), take advantage of any opportunities that present themselves (forced fumbles and INT's) and hopefully they're reading about how unstoppable they are and come in here overconfident and looking past Auburn.  Stranger things have happened before.

No he actually called me out in the thread and kept at it. Even sent another thread my direction. That's not speaking his mind. I didn't have any issue until he mentioned me.. It's annoying and this is the first time for me. But he brought up something and dragged me into it because he feels he needs to be right all the time.

The ignore feature is helpful.  After only being on this board for a few weeks it was clear I couldn't stand his shtick.  He's the lone member though.

I don't know if it has been said or not, but I am so thankful Armoni Goodwin decided to go to LSU. Not saying he wouldn't have turned out to be a great RB, but I don't think there is another player in that class as electric as J. Hunter and he would have never came here if AG doesn't flip. Love this kid.

After last season would anyone have believed that we have Tank Bigsby on the roster and he may not even be our best RB? I am not saying JH is better than Tank, but an argument could most definitely be made. Glad we have both studs. RBU is back.

It's pretty clear Hunter is running the ball a little better than Tank at the moment.  It seems like Tank is running more east and west instead of north and south.
