  1. I was at an AU alum gathering last night. Ronnie Brown was guest speaker. (What a great human. Very well spoken and represents AU extremely well). He attributed 2004 to the closeness of the entire team and holding each other accountable. Hard Fighting Soldiers was not just a name. They lived it every day. He, Jason and Cadillac were DRIVEN to erase the memories of starting 2003 as the #1 team in the country and losing the first two games. They felt they had something to prove. That TEAM is one of my all time favorites.

Thu usual mode of operation for some folks.

Did you notice I got a thumbs down for saying I support the success of both? Some folks indeed. 😜

This is literally a Bo vs TJ thread.  What do you think this thread would be about when you opened it?  Why do people get upset people are actively posting on a message board?

There is a difference between discussion and endless arguments.

Because we're 25 pages deep with a handful of the same old commentary and rebuttals.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion but when it gets personal nobody really cares anymore

    Amen and Amen

Look, as much as I LOVE a good spirited argument, I think that this is the best point to leave it at.

Bo should have had the fundamentals down but he doesn't, but he can get better.... Just now he has to get better at the fundamentals while a QB with better passing fundamentals comes in and just has to learn the offense. That's a tall task but it can happen.

TJ is a "Harsin Guy" the first of Harsin's guys. I'm just saying, if you don't think that's going to play into things while the QB he and Mike Bobo have had a chance to work with continues to make the frustrating errors and couldn't bring the outside the hashes passing offense alive during the A-Day game, then you're going to be mistaken. Finley will have to be an utter wreck not to have a greater than 50% shot at beating out Bo.

Can this put an end to this back and forth......please?

Man the jokes are pretty stale. Need something else to talk about. Just let Bo have the job and blame the o line and get on with it already

    Cole, how’s the recovery going?

I get it, but we have the capacity to produce those materials, specifically lumber related goods, and I have to believe that our domestic production will catch up, especially at those unreal prices.  There isn't a shortage of raw materials in the country, just sawmill capacity.

True. But when mills close it takes time and capital to turn it around. In Canada the government gives the timber for free. Next trip to Lowe’s or Home Depot , look for the Canadian flag on lumber and plywood. Sad

As a driving PG he will be late on transition from Offense to Defense it is the other guards job to get back on D when he drives.  He is not physically strong enough to stop a bigger guard from backing him down but luckily we have a lot of shot blockers who help him there. He at times can be tough on ball handlers out front he has quick feet and hands but he is not consistent with that. At times he gets lazy and beaten out front and PG goes right by him. All players play defense at different levels during the game. Watch Flanagan he almost always plays good defense but at certain points in the game he decides it is time to go to his hard core Defense you watch him get lower and just get a look in his eye, so yes there is some conserving of energy as long when not going full bore Defense you are still playing solid aware defense.

Look how fast Pearl will pull a player for being lazy and not rotating or finding to a three point shooter.  Cooper's speed and quickness are assets on Defense when used properly his size both height and strength at this times are weaknesses. S&C whether here or in the Pro's can help with the strength height is what it is. D and lack of a consistent outside shot especially since his outside shot is not a quick release are why I think Cooper will be here next year.  I am not sure about Flanagan but if he does get advice from NBA that he is a late 1st round or early 2nd round he should go. Hopefully they will have a combine this year where they can get a true appraisal from NBA before making a decision.

    Thanks. Much appreciated.
