Has there been a single good RB from Auburn in the last 30 years?  We had a lot of great college backs, but none seemed to have good NFL success.  A couple 1 year goes and too many lost to injury.

And this👇is why as soon as I figure out how, I'm going to permanently moot your goofy behind. You obviously are about 19 years old and think the world began when you were born. You know nothing about the tradition of great backs that have played for Auburn, yet you're constantly on this board running your mudflap about things you don't know.

8k plus yards in the NFL. While you're at it, go look up Tony Richardson, Fred Beasley and Rudi Johnson too.

Not even trying to be argumentative, but what exactly do we give him credit for? Recruiting? His handling of the portal? The assistant coaches that he hired, and then fired less than a year later. He didn’t fire his defensive coordinator, he left because he said he didn’t like the way Harrison’s treated his players. Some of his off the field actions? I mean what exactly are we supposed to give him credit for? Not getting blown out? I guess that is one thing we can give them credit for.

    1. He's willing to change and adjust

    • Gus never did that

    2. His offense is not predictive

    • Gus' was

    3. He has only coached 1 season. Hold your pejorative comments until after the season

    4. The Oline he inherited was not good and coached not to be aggressive

    • Wait to see how they will play this year after an entire off season in a new system

    5. I never saw him pick his nose on the sidelines!!!!

I don't mind healthy back and forth but there are couple of dudes on this board that I am still trying to figure out how to ignore.

Actually Gus averaged four losses per year, and they ran him off.  That is part of my point, things are so bad under Harsin, people will be thrilled with a 7-5 season but couldn’t stand Gus going 8-4. If it wasn’t so sad, it would be comical.

The one thing about last season that gives me hope is that Auburn was not blown out like you'd see with Gus' teams. Yes, Auburn got handled pretty well by Georgia, in the second half, but they did that to pretty much everybody last season. Gus had to go and there is no debating that. Be honest, you knew what play was coming when watching Auburn under Gus the last few years. That fact there was enough for him to be let go. He never adjusted his offense and other teams caught on. Harsin has already fired his offensive coordinator and his way of interacting with the players so he is trying to make improvements. Let's give him some credit for that and get behind him.

No, my Wife is a former cheerleader but not at Boise State.

Let’s see did I write this article? Oh no it was PM. Did I author the other onslaught of articles predicting at best a 6 win season, or did I make the Las Vegas odds? 🤷‍♂️

Oh wait, you don’t care, as long as Gus isn’t the coach, 6-6 or 7–5 is a successful season to you.

6-6 and 7-5 is what we had with Gus.

  5. When an Auburn fan says they hate Alabama, you better believe it. If you are aware of all the cheating Alabama has gotten away with, you'd have a real disdain, abhorrence for everything Alabama. Yet, I would not wearing another school's jersey but he got 15 minutes of attention.

Calzada is the obvious pick. Word has it that Finley has the support of the team, but my information is that Geriner is the one pushing Calzada for his spot atop the depth chart. My guess is that means unless Finley makes a pretty big leap this summer and preseason camp, Geriner will be the one to take over if Calzada goes down for any length of time.

Ashford will have a package of plays regardless of who starts. He's apparently pretty athletic.

This is good news! I like TJ but I just haven't seen enough from him and I don't believe he can help this team get to where it needs to be. I was impressed with Ashford. However, there are some posters on this board that don't like the idea of Ashford being used in certain spots/situations. If he can continue to grow and learn why not use his athletic ability in certain situations?

While losing 4.375 a year is not good, it is far better than losing seven. What's amazing is how many people keep hoping/expecting the current staff to accomplish big things when in 16 months, the only positive thing that's been done is hire one assistant WR coach who has a big name.

Recruiting? 9th in the SEC. Portal? 8th in the SEC.

Overall portal results: 6 brought in, 18 jumped ship. The 247 ranking doesn't consider lost players, but minus 12 has to pretty much suck.

Nationwide predictors, posted in this forum somewhere, predict AU to finish 5-7 this coming season. If you think 5-7 is better than 8-4 you need to attend a remedial math class this summer.

4.35??? Really? lol I can't with you! I believe you want Auburn to succeed as much as I do but I just can't. I will try my best to avoid you. Even if/when Harsin becomes successful, you and I will not see eye to eye. Good luck to you brother!

Those guys inherited programs with losing records. Building up takes a little time, but build UP they did. Your boy Harsin took over a team that hadn't had a losing season in eight years and promptly coached them down to a losing season. See the difference?

It is amazing to me how some people love and give high praises for Auburn consistently losing 5 games a year. SMH

Pretty optimistic on your grades. Offensively I just don't see. In fact outside of Tank, I am not sold on any of our backs. Hunter's production came against cupcakes. In SEC play he only gained 194 total yards.

You do know that the offensive line was horrible yet you're not sold on Hunter??? He had excellent runs against PSU and LSU. He made the most of his opportunities.
